OK, please gleefully slap me if this is a stupid question, but does anyone know if HT plan on re-releasing the DX08 Joker to coincide with the Batman Returns Batman figure? I only ask as the 2015-16 HT catalogue features him on this page:

Now, as I can't read Chinese, I don't know what the text says, but is it usual for Hot Toys to feature older figures in their catalogues? Or might there be plans to bring back Jack? Anyone?

Seriously, does anyone really think we're going to get another DX Jack Joker? After the lackluster sales of the Mime figure, not to mention all of the MCU, SW OT and TFA and BvS and Suicide Squad figures that either are being or will be developed?

I don't think we are, but there must be some reason that figure is featured in the catalog.

I think it's worth investigating - which would mean looking at the other pages of the catalog, as well as getting higher-resolution pics so the Chinese text is legible enough to be translated.

Not to my knowledge. Just improved versions (different box, different product number, different materials or accessories used).

It's Page 16 of the 2015-2016 Hot Toys catalogue. Note: Page 14 of the same 2015-2016 catalogue shows the earlier DX TDKR Batman with the Blake/Gordon/Bat Signal set, so maybe it's just something they do? But then, those TDKR figures are all from the same movie, whereas the Jack Joker is, of course, not in Batman Returns. Maybe someone just goofed?

I doubt another Nicholson Joker will be released, they already released 2, the DX08 and Mime Joker. Maybe the next Joker we get will be Jared Leto version from Suicide Squad?

I doubt another Jack Joker will be released. THey pretty much nailed it with the DX. I'd rather they do Penguin or Catwoman from Returns if anything else.

Hot Toys had plans for something called "Mob Civillian Joker" and potentially a Jack Napier.










I'm sure those plans fell through though. I have doubts they still have Nicholson's likeness license.

There was an interview with Howard Chan where he mentioned a Joker DX3.0 (Ledger) too... but that was before the landslide of Iron Man figures

That was the "Clown shape" thing. I want to assume he meant the bank robber disguise.

hm? I remember it specifically saying a third DX Joker, to my knowledge the BR wasn't a DX?
Either way, I don't see it coming any more, but I've been hoping for a 3.0 just because I feel like they can still improve on the 2.0 (in terms of wardrobe mostly, came out too bright, IMO)

I zoomed in on the pic and below the pic it says 2012. So yeah not likely for another release.
