Ok, I get it. EVERY time from now on, whenever I see a sale online, or clearance at a store, I will be sure to send emails, or ask the store manager, to verify that the posted prices are accurate, because that should be the customer's burden, not the stores.

40% on the entire inventory isn't hard to imagine? On a site that's running a promotion (written in ENGLISH) that says they're having a sale for 20% off regular price on in-stock items? Yeah, sounds totally plausible.

Who's to say their lower than retail prices were not their "regular" prices? It is not up to us to figure it out, the burden is on them. We have laws here that force a retailer to sell for the marked prices.

It's fine. I just get a bit aggrivated when certain people keep trying to make everyone who ordered from them the bad guy, especially after I said I'm more than happy to accept the cancelation if that's what the store decides.

I don't feel guilty for ordering when I thought the deal was good just like I don't feel guilty for buying bacon for 50% at Safeway. I saw a deal. I took it.

20% off posted prices with discounts TAKEN AT CHECKOUT. The 20% discount showed up upon checkout based on the prices listed.

I was on the site. I saw clearly the discounts were supposed to apply to regular priced items that were in stock. When I started checking prices I saw right away that there were calculation issues both before and after adding items to the cart. It was obvious to me the site was buggy. But that's irrelevant, every online merchant has always reserved the right to cancel an order for any reason and have never had to uphold sales based on erroneous website/database data. Whether you knew this or not is also irrelevant. If they had instead charged you 20% more and you realized it after the sale you'd also expect to be able to cancel the transaction, so stop playing the victim here.

Nobody is a bad guy for ordering. Being a bad guy is bringing up accusations against the store, talking about laws that they're breaking, complaining they're not honoring the erroneous sale prices, etc.

If I said I'd be happy with the cancellation, how am I playing victim? I didn't take the time to calculate everything like you did. You're clearly better than I am and everyone else who ordered from them.
