Normally the mere thought of having to upgrade a Rainman figure would be enough to deter me from thinking it would be nessisary given the price of the figure however because I believe this is such s great figure I truely think it needs an upgrade so perfection can be achieved. That's in the shirt, which is inaccurate and the ax, which is quite bad. It's the only thing about the set that is bad.

I would be interesting in comissioning someone who could create the ax or shirt.

I really have no issues with the axe. A wood grain can be painted in the handle if need be and the axe head isn't that bad. If someone like full metal were to do a run of real metal and wood axes that would be awesome. It would be necessary for him to use the Rainman axe as a template for the size and shape of course. I really love that the axe is big, it gives of this really imposing and threatening vibe that helps the figure look more menacing. So the Rainman size of the axe is essential. Rainman got that right.

As for the shirt.....early on during the prototype process I kept trying to gather support for this. I even have the accurate swatch pattern for the plaid. Everytime I posted or mentioned the shirt....it always fell on deaf ears. Now, we want the shirt.

Well let's try this again. If someone will organize the Yunsil plaid shirt run, I will provide reference info for the plaid pattern used. Let's get this done.

Yes we need a run for new axe, thats the only piece i think looks cheap, lets do it!!!

I wasnt paying attention to this thread because Rainman threads tend to be exhausting. But I would have been in full support of a revised pattern and am still in full support.

I think the axe looks real cheap. It's more than just the grain pattern missing. The wood does not protude at the head and more than that I want a real wood and metal axe. It's the only reason I feel kind of bad about selling my screaming set even though I got three hundred or so bucks from it, it's because the ax was great. The shape might have been off though.

Your absolutely right, I totally forget about the axe handle wood protruding through the top of the axe head. Yep that detail was missed. I'd also be in full support of an axe run with the right details and shirt ofcourse.

The trick is in the arm positioning, swing the holdinh hands a bit further back and that should bring the twins feet closer to the base.

Yes it is real wood and aluminium, so that it is not to heavy, but he says he can make it of stainless steel.

And yeah, he will be offering it for those that would like one, it will be around $45-50.

Let me check with him if he will open a thread or if he wants me to send him a list of how many people want it.
