So I got the wrist issue sorted out! There are two screws on his wrists on either side of the ball joint. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that there was a bit of a gap on one side. So I grabbed a 5/64 STANDARD (not metric) Allen key and tightened up the screw and voila! Problem solved. Gave the rest of his wrists a little tightening and now they're solid as a rock. So for anyone with wrist issues, there's your solution right there.

it can be tricky to get the key slotted but it'll tighten no problem.

Wow this guy is massive and extremely awesome! Loving it! Wish the Detolf could be bigger for him, don't want to customly change the level for the moment.

Some collectors I know is on the opposite side when it comes to the sculpt. They say the skin is too dark; one eye is is smaller than the other; or he simply doesn't look like Jim Raynor from the game.

I personally felt it is ok. Of course not as good as what was shown during comic con, but still passable.

Well lucky me, I can careless about the face. I would display visor down.

Looking at these and not thinking a statue will come...I might skip on Ray and try to go for a Tyc, just for a Blue marine. I would be getting for the love of the game and for playing it for so long. But Raynor's color is still cool.

But another part of me just wants to see if more will come. Like we have all mentioned...Protoss and Zerg.

Well those collectors dont know what they're talking about then.

He looks like how Jim would look if in real life (or you equivalent of real life). I'm positive that's what sideshow was aiming for, not a game model where they do look a little cartoony. As for the skin tone, I took this photo just now, looks pretty spot on to me.

And as for the smaller eye, if they had looked a little closer, you can see he's smirking a little with his mouth. Try smirking without your eye closing a little.

Agree with you bro... I hope it reaches Asia before April ends.. =)

Btw, can someone share a close up photo of Raynor with the alternate hair?

I am thinking of doing a Kitbash Raynor in this uniform using Raynor's Head, and his pistol..

Got him yesterday, had a good hour messing around and posing this arvo. Really cool figure, I can see where the money went.

The weathering/paint is pretty good, he looked a bit plasticy in some of the shots posted about but he's very well done in hand. The number of moving parts is ridiculous! Love the hoses and pistons that all articulate when you move the limbs around. There's also a lot of superfluous articulated armour parts that can be slightly angled and it makes the suit come to life.

Like darthviper, I have a problem with one of his front foot joints, I can pose him fairly well if you get his CG right, but I'm a bit concerned he could settle at that joint and topple, working on popping off the screw cap to see if the screw can be nipped up a bit. Other than that he's fairly flawless.

The weapons are HUGE, removable mags & great paint too. Love them.

Head sculpt is a big step up from some of SS's recent offerings. Detail is sharp & the paint is pretty good imo.

Fantastic figure, well done SideShow. Will get in line for Tychus too. I just have to. :lol

Thank you for the review. Although, I'm still contemplating if he's still worth the price tag. I want to get him but I get the feeling he should of been priced at around $400.

$500 is still hard to swallow for this figure. I need more convincing!! :slap

If you figure out a way to tighten it let me know, I can't see any way to get at the inside screws without breaking something

This is what I'm most curious about. The head looks extremely crisp, full of detail and looks painted very well. The eyes look to be set too far back, but even Hot Toys has this problem. I'm just really curious what happened in the short time between Snake, and the Hoth figures, and then this guy to make him look so much better.

I have Snake, I think the sculpt is pretty decent. The flack the overall figure cops is over the top, but that's just my stance. The iris detail is better here, but they both suffer with that gap from the separate eye block system. The hair detail is a lot sharper on Raynor, face paint is applied better too. Raynor's deeply wrinkled face probably helps a lot giving him the illusion of more facial detail. Don't have any interest in the Hoth offerings, didn't get them, so I can't compare those.

The final outcome could be related to factory, price, or heaven forbid - BigShot. :lol Who knows?

Just about to get out the hair dryer and some pickers to see if those screw caps will let me get at the screws. Doesn't look like they used super glue, so I'm pretty sure a bit of heat will work. If that fails I'll drill a neat hole in the center of that plug and worry about a fix later. Just filling the hole with a nice blued/black button head hex screw wouldn't look out of place seeing as they used them all over the armour.

Tried to pop the cap to get to the screw, no go.

Ok, this loose front "toe" section of the foot is interesting.

The left foot seems to be put together differently than the right. When you move the upper foot armour up you can see the inner workings of the joint, the left on mine definitely has screws under a cap, I can see the pilot hole and the tip of a thread, the right doesn't have the holes, seems to be that the cap is in fact a plastic rivet instead. Probably why it's loose. Just a guess at he moment though.

Tried to take some pics to explain.

The front foot cap I'm talking about, one on both sides of the foot:

The right foot joint (loose) without screw?, both pivots on this foot are the same:

The left foot joint (tight) with hole and screw, both pivots have a screw:

While this isn't a huge issue, he stands alright but the left foot joint is noticeably stiffer. I might drill a small hole to see if there is a screw, doesn't make sense to build the feet differently.

I don't think this is a return/replacement issue, the rest of the figure is gold. Pretty sure I can do a simple fix, like Scareb with his wrist joint. The more I mess around the more moving parts I find, such a cool build.

I'm thinking of getting a few (or a big one) cabinet for my growing collections, which start to overwhelm my existing shelves. I'm just wondering if the one you use in the picture is just simply the "DETOLF Glass-door cabinet" from IKEA. The one on their website doesn't seem to have light up strip on each level.

I would appreciate if other people have suggestions for relatively simple showcase cabinet too. Thanks in advance.

PS: I'm thinking about putting Raynor, Kerrigan staue and Tychus together, so the height and width are quite important too.
