I hope they do an extension for Russell that doesn't bump his cap this year to 20mil but be but be an extension for 5 years and 100mil guaranteed with a cap hit of 16.5mil a year.

$11 million for a 29 year old RB with 2000+ career carries is a lot. What's Seattle's cap situation like right now? I thought I heard Russell Wilson was due for a pretty significant contract soon.

It is a lot (probably 6 mill too much market wise) but his value to the team is more than any other RB in football. They were talking about Murray on the radio and saying he must be pissed that Seattle can value Lynch so much but Dallas can’t offer him more than 4 mil a year.

I’m not sure what the cap situation is like but Russell is going to get his 20 mil a year in the next few months but luckily they have been planning it for two years so things should be ok. Sadly it does mean that Byron Maxwell is probably gone (and there is NO CHANCE they can get Suh) but Seattle seems to know who to keep (Russell, Marshawn, Sherman, Thomas etc….) so well see.

Lynch is crucial to Seattle's success. Wilson's as well.

While Murray is a very good back, a lot of his effectiveness can be attributed to that offensive line.

i need to see what those Eagles are going to look like this year. Chip wants what he wants but damn...

I hope the Bears keep him as long as they can and that he stays perfectly healthy. :wink1:

If the Bears can't find a trade partner, he'll be on the team for 2 more seasons. If that's the case, I hope they are horrible for at least this year and that the new GM can actually draft good players. That would be 2 drafts in a row with high picks. If this new coaching staff can get their hands on some good players, they are gonna start winning games. Cutty is gone after next season regardless. No one on the new staff is committed to him for obvious reasons. They won't coddle him or make excuses for him. His days are numbered and everyone knows it. As ink said, his contact is the ONLY reason he's still on the team.

I know. The only chance of making that idiot disappear is finding a GM who's stupid enough to trade for him. I can only hope there's one out there.

How about an idiot owner instead? Don't count out Woody Johnson and the Jets. They already took Marshall, they might as well take Cutler too.

Suh to sign with the Dolphins. Can't wait till he stomps on Brady, LOL.

Joking Grenouille.

:lol The thought has already crossed my mind. Good thing Garoppolo is probably the second best QB in the division.

As for Suh, he's good, but I don't know if he's as good as the contract he's about to get. Something about him makes me think this could be Albert Haynesworth 2.0.

Totally disagree with the Haynesworth comparison.
He has already proven to be a great player but he is a dirty SOB.
Myself being a Dolphins fan,I honestly have to say I'm not thrilled about him coming here :toilet_cl

Byron Maxwell to Philly. Sad to see him go but no way can the Seahawks afford 10+ mill a season for him.... good luck.

Yeah good luck to Byron, one of my favorite guys on the team. I hope they turn their attention to Andre Johnson now that they've lost out on Byron and Julius Thomas.
