Wow Andy all the new updates look great as usual! Oh man that arc reactor is my fave man! Is that for the LSB? Wow gotta tell me how you did it brother.

Always had a question about the wolverine though. Is that bust part of the original statue (not sure how the pieces fit together on the LSF) or is it a separate bust created to showcase the other head when its not on the body, which is an amazing idea if it is, and one I wouldn't be surprised of, if you thought it up. Keep em coming bro!

Hey Brother, Happy New Year Yea, had a great holiday, nice to take a 2 week break from work and spend the festive season with my family I'd like to say a break from statues too but if anything, I had the busiest time receiving new pieces during the Christmas break! but I cant say I was complaining! I had the Prime 1 Megatron statue to open over Christmas and then the 2 Iron Man Diorama statues on New Years Eve not to mention a number of custom pieces too which i'll eventually get posted up on here in the coming week!

The custom Wolverine head you see in the pics is specifically for the LSF and the torso you see it displayed on was the only part of the statue I could remove from the box (due to not having enough space to assemble the whole piece) so its basically just another option to have rather than the one that Sideshow included, which for me, lacked a bit of character in my opinion.

Finally received my first XM piece yesterday which was the Iron Man MKXLII and boy was I blown away! I was really worried about the paint apps but I'm glad to say that XM nailed it! Not just that but the RDJ unmasked portrait is a million times better inhand and certainly gives Hot Toys a run for its money due to the real life texture and what looks like resin inserted eyes rather than painted on eyes....just a really impressive piece which i'll be really looking forward to sharing in the next few days

Thanks Bro you know what i mean when i say family are everything So after receiving my first XM piece I'm happy to announce that I've been blown away...and for the second time in the space of a a few weeks in regards to statues from new companies other than Sideshow. My first real mindblowing experience came in regards to my first Prime 1 piece just before Christmas Day lol! Man, Megatron is just amazing!!! I'll go into more detail when i update my thread with the pics to back it up but jeez!! Prime 1 are the real deal and probably my most detailed piece that i have in my entire collection and of course i recently unboxed my XM Iron Man MK42 statue and again i was left open jawed at the quality of the paint apps...so crisp and the RDJ unmasked portrait is up there with Hot Toys let me tell you! Just awesome so your in for a treat when your XM pieces arrive bro

Just a quickie....

Haven't had a chance to take some quality pics yet but I just wanted to quickly share some quick thoughts on the XM Iron Man MKXLII Movie Statue and hopefully get those who have this arriving soon to feel even more excited The statue is just amazing!! Okay, so I'm gonna be a little biased being an Iron Man fan but that also makes my opinion ultra critical of this piece cos the MKXLII suit is such a difficult armour to get right in regards to the complexity of the colour scheme but XM have delivered what appears to be some amazing paint application on this huge piece! From some of the pcs I'd seen of this statue before it had shipped out had me thinking if the colours were actually quite off (in regards to the gold) but inhand it just looks so good and the camera just doesn't pick up the metallic effect of the golds which is a really nice touch. Fantastic display options with the 2 switch out arms and numerous hands plus the 3 alternate portraits (Helmet, Stark and Pepper Potts) In regards to the Stark portrait, I'm so in love with it that it'll be my favourite choice portrait to display this statue with and the texture of the skin surpasses anything that I've seen from Sideshow...I'm not gonna say it's better than Hot Toys as I haven't seen 1/6 Stark figure inhand but it's one of the most realistic portraits I've seen on a 1/4 scale movie piece. So to summarise, I've been blown away by my first XM piece that I'm now doubley excited about recieving the XM Iron Man MKVII statue as it's gonna be even more amazing!! Congrats once again to everyone picking this guy up, you won't be disappointed

Yea, thanks brother I'll get some more pics as soon as I get a chance cos I'm so impressed with the paint application of the piece...really is awesome! Still funny to think that I was gonna pass on XM's first instalments of Iron Man statues but lucky for me I had a fellow freak sell me his pre order (for less that retail which was a result!) and the rest is history! Now I cant wait for the XM MKVII!!!

Hey guys, finally got to take some pics of my customised Superman PF to share with you all So just to note what I've had done to my Supes PF, here is the breakdown of the custom work

So for those who will have already seen my customised Batman PF will know that I opted for one of Dynamic Menace's (from Statue Forum) epic custom mixed media capes purely as an alternate display option...taking nothing away from the Sideshow sculpted capes (which I still love) i just wanted to have the option of both sculpt and mixed media and as you can see from the pics, the new custom cape gives it a real authentic feel to it and it came out really nice....

So after seeing how well the mixed media cape came out for my Batman PF, I decided to do the same for my Superman

The light up eye custom portrait was a no brainer for me as I was always hoped that Sideshow would release a light up head ever since they announced this PF, unfortunately that never happened and instead they went with the red curly straw pegs that fit inside the eyes so I was so happy to hear that a new custom head with light up eyes was being made Taking nothing away from the Sideshow Exclusive head but those curly red straws just bugged the heck out of me trying to take them in and out and so now with a simple flick of switch on the back of the head I can get the eyes to light up beautifully!

...And finally regarding the base repaint, well I was never really 100% happy with the extreme blue colours Sideshow had applied to their fortress of solitude base and so I wanted something more icy looking and I couldn't be happier with the final result! So that's all the custom work on Superman done...oh, apart from there being still one more custom head to come for my Superman PF which will arrive in the next few weeks....and then I can finally say that my Superman and Batman Premium Formats are finally complete As ever, thanks for looking guys and hope you enjoy the pics

Can you take up some close up shots of the sculpt without the light switch on? So Sideshow's base was too blue?

Looks like it has better detail now to and not just one color like the stock one.

Congrats on the AWESOME Superman PF customs! That is one of my favorite pieces in my collection but you've taken it to a whole new level. Love the cape, love the HS, love the new color on the base!
