I couldn`t give 2 hoots about the finer details - Its Arnold and that's enough for me. Hot toys could do a figure of him in a bath robe and I`d buy it!

As long as it resembles arny, I'm in
I would buy a pumping iron, commando, dutch, and Conan arny in a heartbeat

Man so glad this dropped :rock

Likeness is better than most attempts but HT but it's still lacking. It's definitely too wide. Arnie has a pretty thin and long head

The thing that wrecks my head is, yes, I agree they've been making his face too wide - but I don't know how that should be adjusted. Do you keep the same vertical length of the face and shave it on the sides? And if you do that will that make it look strange on the current body? Or is there some part of his face that needs to be vertically longer - pretty much the MMS117/136 problem.

Well it's a 2 part problem really.

A too big and wide head and a too smaller body mass

If the body was bigger then thinning the head which in turn would elongate it but would keep it looking proportionally correct to Arnie

But if you have a too smaller body and elongate the head it starts to look to long

Saw this on FB and got crazy excited.

Looked at his arms and saw the rubber/non-jointed elbows. Almost cried. Pass-o-rama. He'll be rotting/leaking within a year of his release.

Comparing to some screenshots, I don't see much of a problem with the length of the head, though it got me thinking about how this could have been a great opportunity to give Arnie more of an expression since we always get the emotionless Terminator look.

Re: Hottoys Commando: 1/6th scale John Matrix Collectible Figure.

I was really hoping to be able to focus on Star Wars figures but this one goes straight on the top of my list! John Matrix! Commando was probably the movie I watched more on tv in my childhood, second only to The Warriors. Wow!

So the necessary change to the headshape necessitates the change to the body aswell. I fear we'd be asking way too much. And it'd be adding more inconsistency between the various Arnold figures than there already is.

Yeah with Terminator figures we'll never get different expressions because alternate headsculpts will always be battle-damage options.

Yep totally agree they'd have to undersize the head to make it look right, which would look wrong with all the other Arnies then

I do think they could slim it a little and it would benefit but it's close enough as it is (for hot toys)

I'm surprised at the mixed response to the headsculpt I have to say. I thought I'd be one of very few who'd be seeing anything off about it. In fact some people seem to be less impressed by it than me.

You still hungover, dev? :lol Just not feeling it. DX13 is still Arnie perfection.

Maybe HT is saving that look for this guy.

I can't wait until HT drops Rambo on us. CP's gonna have a coronary. ;)

For $150 maybe. But not for the $240 price point for today figures. People are starting to realize that many of the (non demand) releases can be picked up on sale down the road (this included) for reduced prices with additional incentives. Im putting this one down as “Barney Ross”. Great figure but it will be around for a long time.

Bottom line great looking figure but not needed in my display cabinet!!

Yes you need it.:wink1:

There's the rub, isn't it? I like Commando...a lot...but it's not one of my top Ah-nuld movies - T2, Predator, The Terminator, Total Recall and then Conan the Barbarian. And if HM is right and it's $250...eh.

Commando is so epic, so many one liners, unlimited action
It's my five year old sons favorite movie

I always laughed at that explosion in commando. He placed the claymores outside the building yet the explosion comes from within the buildings. Also claymores couldn't cause explosions that big. Ahh the 80's fond childhood memories...by the way the figure looks awesome and a definite purchase for me

What about the obvious springboards in the courtyard shoot out , even as a kid, I noticed them

The dummies in front of the buildings always make me laugh.
