This is a very fun set to play and take pictures with. Many many parts!

....and that is what makes this stuff so much fun....the versatility. The whole set of pictures from jingoBell are just amazing...they really sell this set...better than the actual product page ones. He's got an eye for posing, lighting, the whole kebob. Really good work. My favorite of the gallery is that first shot...if I get this set, I can see that becoming the "display look" for me...just great.

Like many others, not digging the Wayne suit....don't know if it's just a question of futzing it or if it's just ill-fitting....but it's making him look more like a guy who slept in his suit instead of the sharp-dressed billionaire playboy. Alfred is only fairing a bit better...again, could just be a question of adjustments...but nothing's going to help that dead-eyed stare he's got going on there....yes, it looks like Caine but with a dazed glaze....may look okay on display from certain angles, just not straight-on.

The Armory...is fantastic...looks really good.

Saw some other shots online on how the set is packed....a little lacking there, actually...the big tray holding all three of the figures looks particularly sad....a little more structure (individual boxes maybe) and a little more to the overall presentation would have been expected at the price point, I'd say...

Still on the fence here...so much other stuff hitting in the next few months that are "must-haves" for me....but despite my few misgivings based on the online pics turning up, this gallery is really pushing this set into closer to the "must-have" category for me....

Hell, some gray foam à la a DX release would've been appreciated. This thing is packaged like a playset that sells for a tenth of the price.

I was surprised to see it packaged like an MMS release. I know the figures are just basic MMS releases, but the Armory should have deserved a little bit better care of packing. :dunno

There shouldn't be any problems leaving the Batman figure in the plastic tray if one so chooses, right? No chemical reactions that would result in a melting suit?

The suit needs Love, and alot of "futsing". With garment figure, particularly dress suit pieces I sometimes steam or lightly iron the pants and shirt collar.... And also use tweezers to pull the shirt sleeve PAST the jacket cuff to show "cuf***e" and the shirt collar beyond the jacket collar to accentuate the tie knot.... You know like a "civilized human being" ... 😎

Now I'm curious about what was censored..... :lol

Except that's not the case with this one, as the fabric is a tad too thick. Once you've been around for a while, you'll get an idea of how things are in hand just by looking at the pics. Omg and the other blogger are really good at futzing and posing their figures. So what you see in the pics are already the figs in their best for most cases.

I can't wait. This is gonna be the showcase piece in my NEW Batman display. I literally JUST bought Bane, Selina Kyle and The Joker 2.0. The bad guys have had their run for too long....i can't wait to have this!

Shouldn't there be mesh on the throat area? Or is it obscured by the cowl?

There probably should be at least a little bit on show.

I want to know if there are stoppers or something in the end of the arms instead of wrist pegs.

Congrats to all the guys getting the full set, this setup will probably appear in many a Detolf. It looks like the cowl can be separated from the neck, which I guess is more or less a plug.

I'm more concerned by the all the bits stored in the black foam of the armoury. I haven't trusted that stuff since I discovered old Kenner foam that melted into sticky goo (Dagobah playset swamp and figure holding Wookiee bandoleer).

I bag up any unused parts of a figure I put back into boxes with foam, just in case.

With the Armoury it's going to be a complete leap of faith. But at least if it's on display you can see if the foam is beginning to break down, and rescue the bits before they get slimed.

I don't know if HT used the same type of foam, but my Toy Legends Armory foam is holding up just fine. I've had it displayed since last year and so far no problems.

I cant begin to imagine what would happen to those sealed DXes set then.

Re: Hot Toys - The Dark Knight Armory w/ Bruce Wayne & Alfred photos by [JingoBell]

I didn't know that foam could affect lead. The only lead figures I have are the DC Superhero Eaglemoss figures, but they come packaged in plastic, so no worries there.

I think it's difficult to know how any of these HT or SS collectibles will hold up in the long-term. Seems like every now and then an issue pops up with some material (like rubber) but it's not very consistent. For every Comedian or ED-209 with rubber deterioration there's a Leonidas or '89 Batman without it.

I don't trust anything when it comes to figures - except cardboard. Back in the day I even found tissue paper reacting with an OC Batman head. The only storage I trust for anything is out of the box, away from plastic and foam, and standing in a cardboard box of the type you use for wine bottles.

Sony display your figures in old cardboard wine boxes? Thud

For $400 and up, this thing better not break down on us. Yeah, I know, I thought of the ED 209 as soon as I typed that.
