I'm really surprised that HT is leading with the best figures. I would have thought for sure it would have been Gamora, Drax, Star-Lord then Rocket/Groot. They're going in exactly the opposite direction so far.

Looks like all 5 will be at SDCC this week, I'm headed in to the SSC booth Wed night to take a bunch of photos of all the new stuff!

Don't they usually begin the line with the best figures/most popular characters though? There's only a few lines I can think of where they started with secondary or tertiary figures (Tron Legacy Kevin Flynn comes to mind), and those lines generally do not sell well. If I were HT I would not employ the 'save the best for last' mentality with figure releases, you could be losing thousands of dollars from fans who change their minds on the line entirely while waiting for the stars to get made. Striking while the iron is hot is a great tactic, just look at how much hype drives initial sales on this forum alone lol.

Thats why they put up Rocket and Groot first, then Starlord, and now Gamora and Drax(who are the wildcards where sales are concerned) will follow, so I would expect some exclusives/incentives with them, so :goodpost: I agree :hi5:
 
Will definitely be getting star-lord either way because of Chris Pratt. Drax would be my second in line. Imthink SL will be big success in sales.

With HT releasing the IM3 accessories pack and HOA I'm starting to think the 5 pack may be a diorama with team or prison outfits.

or just the outfits, maybe even a diorama, I like this IM3 accessory thing, it opens up more possibilities

That's what I meant, just the outfits and dio. Sorry for the poor wording.

Releasing a five figure pack with exclusive outfits for $1000+ would be a kick in the ass to everyone that already preordered them separately.

If they started with Gamora or Drax they risk poor sales which might have meant we never got to see Star-Lord or Rocket.
