Just throwing it out there that the NECA bootleg set I ordered before was horrible. Paint rubbing off, every figure having bad joints that were either squished in too far or totally locked. No abdominal articulation, sticky paint. Couldn't pose them very well at all and felt horrible to touch. The only figures I had to ever exile to the very bottom of a storage box (still don't have it in me to bin any toy haha)

Thanks for the heads up. I think Im going to grab these revoltech turtles instead and hope for a NECA rerelease some day.

Edit: Nevermind, no way Im paying $235 for the Revoltech set no matter how cool they look.

I was very excited to find the movie figs up in Canada last night! I picked up the 4 turtles and Splinter for my son (who was clutching 'Movie Donnie' really tight when he went to bed). We haven't gotten anything new Turtle release since the 3rd or 4th wave of Nick figures. No Casey Jones, no Spider Bytes, no Battle Shells...

With the designs being so busy I think only high end figures will do the turtles justice.

Agreed. The 5" figures aren't bad at all for what they are. There's actually a ton of detail and a decent amount of articulation. It's the paint that lets them down.

But of they released something akin to the maquettes that were on set... THAT would be cool. Way out of my reach, but...

I haven't seen any other trailers, but I just felt like I saw the whole movie in those 2:34.
Hate the fact that the trailer isn't making me want to go see it.

While I want to see the movie and actually like some aspects of the new designs (except for those awful noses), two things bother the hell out of me in the new trailer: how could they **** Shredder up so bad, and is Don actually deflecting machine gun bullets with his bo?!

I also started watching the new new animated series a few days ago, so I'm only 5 episodes in, but I'm really enjoying it so far. :)

I really love this concept of shredder. It's really neat to see the japanese culture infused with the mech-suit idea. Really cool IMHO. Still not huge fan of the turtles designs but the trailer got me a little more pumped to see it. I did a decent custom set of shredder and the turtles. I posted them over on the technodrome forums. They turned out pretty cool. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/288934132316439533/
