I have all my figures in similar poses too, because I feel they're more accessable that way whenever I want to just grab it off the shelf & mess around with it. Whenever I put a character in a dynamic action pose that took me forever, I don't like touching it for a while lol. I left my SS3 Goku in the same flying position for months, literally had to brush off the cobwebs when I wanted to hold it lol.

I like brolys character design but he is a one demensional character that said I would buy a broly figure, one because I am a completionist,two because I think he would make for an impressive display if they make him to scale with the other figuarts and lastly for the hopes that if he sells well they'll be open to doing a nappa figure, I want NAPPA!!!

I see the advantages for the entire line if they release Broly and knock it out of the park so I'm fine with it as well.

Still don't see it actually happening. I'd love it if they threw him in the MonstarArts line cause it won't take up from the SHF slots.

LoL, they really dropped the ball on this release. I dunno who's to blame, but waiting almost 5 years for a standard release is poor form no matter how you look at it. Get it together Tamashii/Bluefin/Amazon/ToyArena/Whoever

I bought mine from eBay & yeah I paid a lil bit more than what his retail price is (i think i paid $60 including shipping), but at least it arrived a week after I bought it, and this was in late April.


Can you imagine if Battle of Gods doesn't get dubbed & released in America until 2017, because of "licensing issues?" Or "oh, we have to wait till Buu Arc of Kai is finished" or some lame excuse like that? If the system in place allows for stuff like this, then the system is broken & needs to be rebuilt from the ground up, just imo

Why do people like Pokemon? What's to like about those "characters" that people would spend so much money for? I tried watching it, since I saw there was fans here, and I don't get it.

I disagree with the "meathead thing", since a lot of people hate the Boo arc, because of "meathead" fighting. It's why the Vegito, Gohan, Gotenks, Goku and Vegeta vs Boo fights were mindnumbingly boring to me. I obviously love the fighting, being a DBZ fan, but there's more to the series than that, in my opinion.

I guess Pokémon is something that starts when you are a kid, I started watching it since if first came in Mexico, I was like 6 years old, I do not own a DS so I haven't followed the latest games, but I still play it on many other sources, like Pokemon Showdown.
It's pretty cool actually, the fact to raise your pokemon and train them to become competitve and such.
When it comes to the show, it had some awesome moments, like defeating the rival, winning the orange league and others... Damn I really like Pokémon

Nostalgia mostly Bane; the pokemon games and trading cards were what I grew up with, it was the latest craze that everyone loved. The "anime" if you call it that actually came after those. I would personally recommend trying the games to "get it"

I really love the world of pokemon, I love the idea of going out and there's abig world of all kinds of interesting creatires that you can befriend and bobd with. And then there's the battle aspect of it and getting your team together etc. it's one of the most brilliant franxhises ever concieved imo. It speaks to the imagination in such a vast way yet ties to the real world so well. I loved and knew the anime first, can't really watch it now anymore nd actualky be entertained but just th music alone is fantastic imo. I used to watch it in the morning before going to school for yeeeears. It was literally what got me out of bed when the alarm went.

Hiwever Ive just sold my shf mewtwo, if they make ash and pikachu ill by them but otherwuse ive no collectible interest in pokemon. It's one of the biggest staples of my youth though.

Chronologically my youth in milestone tv series:
Smurfs > Batman tas > mmpr > Darkwing Duck/Looney Tunes > biker mice > spiderman/xmen tas > South Park > Dexter/Johnny Bravo etc > pokemon > DBZ. fter dbz by that time my attention switched from tv franchises to VG.

I probably forgot a few major things...

I'm probably in that minority whose core fandom of pokemon lies in the anime and the first film. I did have the cards but nver played the games as a kid. Hated gameboys in general.

Of course there's more to the series than that. But try explaining that to an outsider that has 0 interest; no matter what you say, they'll always come back with "... but it's just meathead karate guys fighting eachother." Same thing if someone loves RPGs but hates sports games, and vice-versa. We all like different stuff for our own reasons, which is why I'm fine with Broly having a rabid fanbase despite being a 1-dimensional character, because I can relate to that kind of rabid fanboyism for various other characters/stuff that other people dislike/hate as well. (Final Fantasy VII for instance, but that's another debate for another time

We all can relate to a certain degree, honestly. Just some are more open to admitting it than others Ever hear the expression "don't judge somebody because they sin differently than you"? Replace that with "don't judge somebody because their fanboyism is different than yours"

I actually have a small stack of dbz trading card game cards, but we never actually got starter decks here so I never knew how to play.:/

Bummed me out so much haha, I always gaped at a picture from the trunks starter deck I had. Had a few dbz mags too. Men I wnted EVERYTHING dbz I could get my hands on. It meant so freakin much to me as kid.

So weird to now have this dream collection, but it's a shadow of how much I wanted it as a kid. Oh well, bittersweet as it is it's great to relive some it now as a hobby. I'm gonna flip when I get android 17 man, gonna freak out. Blows my mind. Tamashii made a genuine dream come true for me... 15 years late.

Thanks for the explanations guys! I was just asking to understand why someone would bash Broly, but like a Pokemon character, when I thought all they do is say their names, kick the crap out of other Pokemon, and get Stockholm Syndrome from their cruel masters, the worst being a young self-righteous kid whose a hypocrite about it. I used to joke on here that a random scouter is far more interesting than Broly, because of the mystery of their species origin, and how they alligned with Freeza. I like Paragus, but Broly, unfortunely, was just uncontrollable muscle. I still want that Scouter show like "The Shield."

I had a bunch of Dragon Ball Z cards and magazines too! Figure-wise I had SSJ battle damaged Goku, SSJ2 Gohan, Dr. Gero, Android 19, Trunks, and Post Time Chamber Trunks. My little brother did the same thing, and we never watched the show. I was dying for a Saiyan saga Goku, despite not knowing anything about it. My cousins were big into the show, and I would look at their merchandise, and draw the characters at home. I started with that Goku, since I saw him first.

LOL same here dude. All these Figuarts would've been AWESOME at the prime of my fandom (late 90's). Same with those Power Rangers Figuarts. Had they released those when Power Rangers was brand new in the early 90's, I would've lost my mind. I was a raving PR fan, it was my world when I was a kid. Nowadays not so much, lol. But I appreciate the legacy it has.

Speaking of Paragus, I wonder what his reaction was when he first saw Goku & Company go Super Saiyan. All this time he thought his son was the only 1, but to see others do it, he must've lost his mind lol. Maybe he thought he could go SSj too, but it was too late

although i do not recommend this as your first custom as its pretty hard. Also wait for goku and piccolo to get re issued. as you can see shave off ear tips and antennas. sculpt the shirt or torso depending which version you want then sculpt boots into his yellow socks.

Hi, mainly out of curiosity what is it you use to paint and to mold over the arms and head? maybe I'd like to try it out at one point but for now I'm just wondering how in the world that it gets done! Also to add into the Brolly discussion, I am not a fan of the character but I know as a fact if they make a figure for him I'd buy him because he just looks so badass and it would look cool with the other figures

It's a good thing though, since you get more chances to discover new interests. Imagine how much these would cost at that time! You might not have even known about these, without the new social media, since so many fans already just recently found out about the line.

Maybe Paragus ould sense power levels, and compared to Broly's power, they were a joke. He should have some reaction either way!
