ouch sorry to hear that man! ever since my grandmother passed away family traditions went away and i just do things with the main family. (mom, sister and her kids)

Hell yeah. It's grown a LOT since Mudfest '99. There's been vendors at every celebration since. I think it grows every year...

Okay guys i have taken a few days to rethink my collection and what I want to do. it was bound to happen but I have decided to branch out into 1/6th. Already purchased Vader and MOS Supes with the Proto Fett on the way.
This is largely because of the lack of statues coming out for Star Wars and im in a good position in life that allows me to spend some extra money.
I want a few things outside of SW to show my love for other movies/comics so my list so far is -
-DX05 INDY
-1 LOTR 1/6th (do they even make these?) research time
-1 Batman
-ThreeZero Tyrion
My SW list is simple i will stay away from Clones, PT and any figures that the likeness is off (pet peeve).
-Bounty hunters
-Tusken Raider
-Bespin Luke
-Maybe Hoth items

This wont be an overnight process but more like what Fury is doing and make it last awhile. ill ask for some for BDAY and Christmas. The Mcquarrie Line could delay or possibly cancel all this nonsense my brain has put myself in.

For LOTR, right now Asmus is making some cool stuff but for my money the best 1/6 LOTR piece is still Sideshow's Gandalf the Grey from a few years ago. SSC's other pieces are good too but I feel like GTG was the high water mark.

Asmus Toys has the 1/6 LOTR license. They've released a couple figures already.

The Morgul Lord by Asmus looks pretty cool, but I hear the body is kind of crappy. They say they're working on a way of a way to get a better body to the customers, but not sure when that's going to happen.

My Grandmother's passing was the breaking point. My Mom and Grandmother were always really close. My Aunt was always distant. When my Mom died and then my Grandmother got sick, my Aunt was forced to take care of her and I think she kind of resented it. What's weird is that originally my Mom's passing brought my Aunt and I closer together. Then after my Grandmother died, my Aunt just lost it and slowly pushed me out. I think she kinda lost her mind. She's doesn't give two ***** about my kids but will walk to the ends of the earth to help a stupid animal. No offense to animal lovers but that mentality is just retarded to me. And she's actually the one responsible for getting my wife and I together. It's just really sucks that I honestly feel like I have no family left. ok, enough with the rant. :)

Not to dwell, but strangely my aunt (who my family blames for absconding with my original SW figures after my grandmother's garage collapsed in a storm) was also an "animal lover," as was my previous boss (who got me fired). When I would walk past her car each morning, and look at her "Be Kind To Animals" bumper sticker, I was always tempted to write "...and treat human beings like ****."
