^^^ To be fair, on some of OMG pics the cape, collar & tunic need some futzing, you can see at the shoulders it's all running a bit high. Pulling it down would help the overall appearance. The head is a bit too round though, agreed.

I think the figure would've been perfect if you combined both the proto and the final product. The final product's face looks a lot more like Ward's, to me, but the shape of the proto's head seems like it was more accurate.

I honestly don't care, I think he looks fantastic, but I just Googled pics of Robin from the show and in 95% of them he has hardly any neck exposed, and when he does, certainly not as much as the prototype.

Brother, I hope you're right.......cause stock Robin with no neck (and head shaped like a vicks tablet ) is startin' to look like this...............See below.

Even Batman is not liking the look........................:panic:

Why are you copying and pasting the same posts from the other thread? Chances are, if they're reading this one, they're probably reading the other one, as well.:lol

Sorry Bud, Just trying to spread the word in the form of subliminal messages in order to insure that my brothers here at the forum get "Quality" stuff for their $$$.
However, You're right if they read it here...no need to paste it elsewhere. Incidentally, I'm starting to read from other forums some uproars about the stock Robin, and i'll quote what a gentlemen wrote at another forum........." I made my opinions known to Hot Toys. Hopefully others did as well. They did slip up on this. Even if they were some slight errors Hot Toys, in my opinion, is accountable as they charge enough for their final work. This was definitely not the time nor the figures (if ever) to start playing around with the product. I'd hate to think they were going the way of Hollywood and the comic book companies - we'll do whatever we want to the material and YOU WILL LIKE IT!"

Man, this blows. I just convinced myself to get over the few flaws on Batman and then this gets released and now I don't have the funds to complete the set. I guess I was just hoping they might wait awhile. How long do you all think Robin will be available for purchase at Sideshow? I won't have the money until July.

These guys have been up for order since last year I think.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is one case where "if you don't like it, don't buy it" is particularly applicable. 6 months ago, Hot Toys may have cared what you had to say, but, as far as this release is concerned, you're out of luck. Fixing the issues that you might have with it would mean a potential recall of thousands of already manufactured products, and, for a business, that would never even be a blip of a thought. As far as this release goes, the "we'll do whatever we want to the material and YOU WILL LIKE IT!" quote is pretty much accurate, except I'd replace "LIKE IT!" with "DEAL WITH IT!"

At this point, though, they don't care about opinions. They've probably got anywhere from 3,000 to 5,000 units produced, sealed up, and packed in their cardboard shippers, and that's the final word. Your best bet, if this isn't good enough is the custom route, because, as much as I love this license, I think that, at most, we'll be lucky if we see the villains, but I doubt this will be one of the situations where HT releases a Robin 2.0, unless these things sell like swine flu vaccinations on a hog farm.

I do agree that the protoype of Robin looked a bit better but he doesn't look so terrible that it's a deal breaker for me. I can't wait to get these two in my collection!

I'm in the minority, I guess. I think, for all his flaws, Robin actually looks more like Burt Ward. Looking back at the proto, that looks kind of likes mix between Ward and the porn Robin.:lol

Yeah, that really looks like Ward to me. Specifically, the mouth. There's not as much space between it and the nose as in the proto, and it's closer to Ward's actual likeness.

I take issue more with Batman and that torso. It LOOKS like a fatsuit. Too square, boxy looking. I haven't seen anyone really say anything about it. Am I the only one? Not a deal breaker by any means. The positive out ways the bad, but damn...

It kills me...years ago you could never get any detail on action figures...They make em so good now...but folks want perfection...They want the closest thing to the real guy without kidnapping him...Except for the 3 front extra yellow stitches on his vest this is gold...Are you guys gonna make out with your action figure...this looks great...expensive yes...but great. I dreamed about this figure for about 45 years ever since I got the original GI Joes and looked at them and said "what if"... I like what I see here...these 2 guys with the Batmobile will kill it!...I bet they make the Batcycle one day too. Batgirl and her bike one day also
