Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Fantastic mods guys, looks like I'm going to try this, worth the risk IMO

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Couple more pics.

beautiful shots.

you can hide the short side of the cape inside and leave the longer side of the cape to drape to the floor as I know you want that long appearence effect (since you pin it a bit far, LOL)

but over all, it looks beautiful

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

the neck part is simple, use a iron for 2 second and stretch it to the length you like, then leave it, it'll sealed in seconds. then you got yourself enough room for the neck.

I made it this way for those who have stock neck or moded neck on purpose.

Where do I place the iron? And how much heat ? I think that hard edge along the outside is throwing it all off?

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Thanks man.
Lol, actually, I didnt know about ironing that part also so I had trouble as well. :lol
If there were any instructions, I didnt read it cause I didnt have much time as I was only at lunch from work and
soon as I tore the box open in excitement, I tried to install it right away.
Thank god you gave us several pins cause I bent a couple of them.

What I did was I didnt follow the tab, instead, I went a little past them, pinned the right, a little more to the right of the tab, and same with the left, pinned the cape a little past the left tab. It gave me enough room to flip the cape over the neck. :)

This is wut I did also maybe even a lil more actually because I spot glued mine in 2 spots to get the neck to show more like the movie....I love the way it turned out

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Could you post a pic. This thing is starting to get frustrating .

If you dont want to use an iron, its pretty easy,
as I said, dont line up the tab to the cape insert section.
Instead, go a little past to the right on the right tab, and go a little to the left on the left tab.
This will give you enough room to flip the cape over the neck.

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

While Tony's cape does look nicer, the folds of the cape that connect to the collar piece aren't as accurate anymore.

I can probably futz it to resemble those folds better.
The folds can be done manually.
I didnt really get much time to work on the cape, those were quick shots cause I installed the cape during my lunch break.

And honesly, even if it cant match the folds, it can be easily overlooked cause the custom cape looks sooo much better. Completes the figure in my opinion.

I just got mine. This may be one of the best all around HT ever made. Likeness, suit, body, packaging. AWESOME

Re: MMS200 - Man of Steel: Superman Collectible Figure

Thanks. Took me a little bit to get it the way I like. But I'm pretty happy with how it looks now. :)
