And I personally appreciate that heads up, bud. When I just started collecting last year I didn't know what to buy and where to buy figures so I made random research on forums and Youtube reviews. There was a time that I had kids around me while I was watching a couple of reviews from well-known collectors (it was the first time I saw their reviews on Youtube), and I was surprised the moment I heard the first F-bomb (it was the first of many F-bombs), with my laptop speaker audible enough for the kids to hear. I never thought that watching a TOY review online can actually be risky with kids around.

You're welcome. I was watching the video in my sitting room and all of a sudden my family heard the F-word and the C-word. It's very awkward, especially if you have young children about.

I don't think your sarcasm is constructive. I haven't said anything negative about the quality of your reviews and I have not insulted you. I was simply stating a fact: you swear in your videos and I feel people should be warned first.

It's all part of ClipperKing's character.
I have zero problem with it and I doubt many kids buy $500 figures or watch these videos.

It's ok if you don't have a problem with it but I think we need to remember that this is a community and attracts a range of ages. I think that younger people would watch a video of a Hot Toys review regardless of whether they have bought it or not.

Put a language warning at the beggining of the video or wherever is applicable. Problem solved? In fact wouldn't you have to sign in and confirm your age to view the videos anyway?

I personally like your videos pal. I even watch ones where I have no interest in the figure just cause I know it will be a laugh. You are one of those rare people that actually make swearing comical imo.

I agree with you. I can handle the swearing myself; the heads up was for younger viewers or members of the forum who might be watching the video with their family near by.


If I pointed out that Die Hard has swearing in it would that mean I am instantly insulting the film? No. I would simlpy be stating a fact. Films with swearing in come with warnings: why shouldn't a Youtube video?

CK has always expressed himself that way in his videos, it is your responsibility to make sure your kids are away when you listen to online videos, not his.
Children do not watch $500 figure reviews on their own, why should he put a warning before expressing himself on youtube?

I like C.K.'s video reviews for a few reasons; he's honest in giving equal comment to both possitive and negative aspects of the figures. He seems to be genuine in his style (if he talks like this in his day-to-day life then I want to hear someone who is being themselves--no bull****ting, flowery praise (ie like a reviewer who might have sponsors to suck-up to).

Each reviewer has his/her style--I like to listen to a cross section of many reviews-- some use better video/audio/tech equipment with graffics etc, some use a more simple approach. I am an adult collector who can handle colorful language, I would hate to spend my days finding fault with video reviews. I am OCD enough already to find fault with toys that I spend WAY too much money on

Tourist --I get your point, I get J& B's point. We don't know if J&B watched ClipperKing's review for the first time, and maybe he didn't know how he does his videos. That's what happened to me before (with another reviewer fond of dropping F-bombs). Indeed it's possible that no kid who can't afford would watch a $500-toy review, but there's always a possibility of kids having around when someone unfamiliar with the reviewer's style/personality watches the video. That's what J&B I believe is trying to drive at, that's why he's giving those WITH KIDS a heads up.

I still watch Clipper's reviews as they are among the most-in depth and his reviews has helped me become a wiser collector (as to what's more worth my money), but I now watch with caution and watch them when kids are at school.

I like clippers reviews . I think his reviews are good and would be better for not swearing. But I'm from Uk and people do and for a joke At the end of the day . It's up to an person but if it offends then it would be better to tone it down. I see that the big collectors like clipper and dee go to one sixth republic . Could you tell me more please.
