Thanks guys. Here is a better comparison pic with the Hottoys head side by side.

Wow you never notice how off the shape of the cowl is until you see an accurate one like yours. Really great comparison pic. ;)

I thought about selling this guy on ebay the day after I got it, I mean don't get me wrong, the details and the quality of this figure is great, but I just don't like the body, the head, and the chest plate. So this will be a complete makeover. I'm replacing the head with mine(both cowl and bale), and I will be sculpting the neck piece, chest plate, and replace the body. So far, I have the cowl head worked out, still need some fine sanding. (Ignore the gray color, this is the proto, it will be cast in black rubber)

:thud: :thud:

yeah, the nose and the narrowness of the cowl really deter from the sculpt. It's a good sculpt but with how many attempts HT has had from previous 1/6th scale and with an even larger palette, they should've aced this sculpt. Great job Adam, though i'm afraid to ask how much....

After a few hours of setting it up, I've finally got it displayed.

Pros:
The Bale head is fantastic. It's seems to capture an older Bale but not too old like the DX12, meaning he can still represent a Dark Knight version of the character.

The boots are superb. All one piece, they capture the black gloss look they often have in the film. Very sturdy ankle pegs too.

The belt, guns and backpack are all very nice. The backpack is very flexible and doesn't damage or scratch the suit when attached. The sticky bomb gun clips onto the belt now - a big improvement.

The mouth pieces are excellent, though I think they have a bit too much stubble.

Cons
The hands look awkward unless you tuck the straps into the gauntlets. Even then, they make his arms look too long. Cutting the straps seems to really help but I don't want to mod this figure at all so I'll just tuck them into the gauntlets for now.

After watching Maglor's videos, I can really appreciate what he is saying about the shoulder pads - they are very square and seem far too broad.

The stand is revolting,

The new ratchet system on the body restricts posability, I find. The arm is either back or it's forward - It is not in the middle where you might want it. Same with the legs - they are straight down or they are sticking backwards.

I'm using the Enterbay cape and it's the perfect length with a V in the back. Haven't opened the HT one- I imagine it's awful.

All this said, it one seriously gorgeous looking figure. It is a sight to behold and I already love it.

I got mine today as well. I love the figure. I agree that the Stand is Revolting. I probably wont use the scarecrow carpet with it at all. The legs are exactly word for word. I'm using the Bat pack for now until my Tony Mei Cape come's in. The Stock will stay in the box.

I don't know that they'll be available. If I'm not mistaken, I thought Adam stopped offering stuff outside of one-off comissions. That being said, if anything's changed, more power to you, Mr. Imaresqd1; you make the finest TDK Trilogy related items this side of the hobby/Internet!
