I don't get paying SS all that money for extra box- BBTS always puts them in another box with great bubble wrap.....no charge! You just have to wait alittle longer- typically1-2 weeks.
I know that isn't the case with the SS exclusives- you have no choice there..

Checked out their site. I did the yen to dollar conversion and they charge a lot for shipping. I am not familiar with their shipping methods, SAL, EMS, large packet? No thanks I will stick with UPS, FEDEx, USPS etc. I am not to confident in a package coming directly from Japan, not to mention a website with prices I have to convert. At least from the domestic website/shops their shipping is cheaper. Also if you look around the forums SS, BBTS, AE, and other local/domestic sites are the most common and reliable places collectors get their stuff from.

His point may have been that its common knowledge because the TV/ Movie licensing thing has been discussed a few times already. It's common knowledge that Newmar and Kitt Catwomen would not happen if they don't have the license for the TV show.
Precisely. :)

Since both of these are labeled MMS 218/219 they are distinctly based on the film. If they did make any figures from the TV series, they would have a different moniker and a different numerical order. The only TV series figures HT have made were from 'Prison Break'. Not sure how they they were labeled.

In principle - yes.

We'll see in time though, won't we.. :wink1:

If I cancel my preorder with SS is there a penalty? I found it for $45 less.

Also, why do people want it double boxed?

At Amiami, if you notice under the pre-order wording, they specify that these are available in small quantities and they do not guarantee that they will have enough to fulfill their pre-orders. Definitely not worth the risk.

You are only charged if you ordered 2 or more of either figure. People want to keep the "shipper box" in mint shape for the purpose of resale value (it's not enough for the figure and "display" box to be mint, but the box the box is shipped in should be mint, as well. . .). Some claim to do this so that the interior box will not be damaged, but in my experience this is a very rare occurrence from Sideshow, and they'll replace it if it does happen. So mostly, resale value.

These do look really good. Any idea when the Batmobile will be released and price? That's what I really want, but of course want these two to put in it. Question is, do I use points for these two or the car....? And if I wait for the car, will these sell out with no chance of getting them later.

The teeth on West are hilarious.

all good questions, but no one knows when any figure will be released or put on PO until the day it goes up for PO. No one is ever told in advance. Usually when they release the official promo photos it goes up for PO soon after. Sometimes that day, sometimes a few days later. 66 Batmobile hasn't had its official promo photos released yet, so until then, we all just wait...:)

Thanks, hurry up and wait like everything else.
I think I'm just going to wait until the 66 Batmobile gets released so that way I'll at least know the cost, hopefully less than the 89 version.
I'll get these two after or not at all...

Exactly. I got Rescue Captain America from then and the corner of the box is dented slightly ripped/cracked. Not so much retail value I just like to have a clean box.:)

I don't get it either. Should be a courtesy to have the product shipped to you undamaged. I had them double box my Coulson and all that was in there was a crumpled piece of paper with the box.
My Rescue Cap is an exclusive and it wasn't double boxed.
If I had known they don't double box and have the option I would have spent the extra money.

Amiami is a solid place and EMS is very fast. I ordered Joker 2.0 late on a Thursday night ,around 8, it was in the mail Friday and on my door step Monday morning. I live in Maryland. Plus, they packed extremely well. The shipper and all was packed in a very strong, durable box with bubble wrap. You could have dropped this thing off a building with the little damage issued to the contents. But yeah, shipping is killer. No doubt there.

Many people have bought from Amiami and I've only heard good things.

Pics are up on Facebook of Figure Kings #188 with the Dynamic Duo on the cover and the classic TV series logo so who knows what's happening anymore?
