Exactly what I suspected.. The base is not getting it's share of glory and I doubt even the spinning Batmobile will change that so you should just send it my way and get yourself another one that is about 100% bigger to make it right


....

Yea, alot of the guys on OSR were saying the same thing about the base being too good for the display...trust me, when the car rotates you can see a fair share of the base, at least enough to tell that its the 89 Batman Logo from the movie so its not all bad. To hang this base off the wall would require bolts and screws that propably havent been invented yet! This base is heavy!!!

Thanks pal... you know, the light up feature is my own little touch as i recieved the base as it was. It really is such a simple mod to add to any piece in your collection. They are basically called LED strips which can be curled around surface and are just plugged into your mains and turned on! It really makes your piece stand out, whatever it is! Check out my picture with the Iron Man busts on the last page, i have the LED lights on them too and you can see how it just brings the piece to life with all the cool shadows around the face, etc...

Thanks for the info. After seeing your base I might try and make my own custom display base for my batmobile and I'll definitely add some of those LED strips you mentioned

BTW is the layer directly under the black bat symbol clear acrylic on top of your goldish sheet panel? Could you edgelit that clear layer to light up the gold background?
Actually if it looks good I would imagine that you "could" route the inside so the LEDs could be installed there to light up that panel without the LEDs being visible?

Went through all of your awesome updates Andy and major congrats for all the great additions. Congrats for Bruce Lee as well. He looks fantastic and really hope that in hand he will be even better. I also read about me being referred to as the dark and white wizard ... Though I don't remember going to the school of witchcraft & wizardry

Coming to Batmobile and the custom base. Don't take this the wrong way bro but the base supersedes the Batmobile completely. That piece is fit to be in a Bat museum. I can already imagine a feature wall in matte black with this base attached against it in the centre. If I had a man-cave this would have been my 'Pièce de résistance'. Awesome job bud! Congrats again.

Well you were right you can see the Bat symbol with no problems. I had my doubts when you had it displayed with the shield on.

Congrats man probably the most beautifully designed custom base I have ever seen!
