Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

The problem with Daredevil was the crappy script. It wasn't even Ben.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

It hurts even worse when you watch Batman Begins and he talks perfectly.

I guess when he gets the ability to move his neck and head, his throat acts up.

I just watched partial of BB yesterday while it was on HBO, and i noticed this when he was talking to rachel in the batcave :lol

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

This movie just went from HELL YEAH!! to HELL NO!!

O come on we dont know what he will even look like yet. it will be Ledger all over again. Mark my words.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

Affleck is a good actor mostly when he plays the Irish criminal from Boston role. Whenever we goes outside of these roles, he seems to have a hard time except for Argo.

Ledger was different because the joker make up completely made us forget about his face and allowed us to believe it was truly a different human being. When I see Affleck as Bruce Wayne, I will have trouble not chuckling.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

Well one's thing for sure....Hot Toys will make this figure before they'll release Arkham City Batman :rotfl

But seriously, I just can't see him as right for that role. WB is relying too much on star power than actual talent to compete with the Marvel films. Ironic since when you announce a Batman movie, that should be all the power you need.

You got a point. Agreed.

Yup, I did the same thing. It's not just there either, but at the monorail exit when she tazers him and pretty much every scene with Gordon. He sounded great.

I guess the voice in The Dark Knight and TDKR made me forget all about how he used to sound and I just assumed he always sounded that way. :lol

Weird move to go from redeeming your reputation by becoming a legitimate director to stepping back into the tights. I'm sure he'll be fine, but if I were him I wouldn't go anywhere near a comic book movie again.

Besides Joker's voice was so weird and so different from Ledger's voice,
that you were able to completely forget that was Heath Ledger behind all that.

You were able to believe him.

Ben Affleck will have to use his voice and his face as batman, so it is not going to be the same.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

You know Ben is getting great money for this:lecture

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

I like Affleck a lot, but this is a bad fit. He's to weak for role like this. He's better fit for those laid back roles. His voice is too weak for Batman.

This might ruin him all over like Gigli did :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

The faceplate is a bit off, but I don't hate this. We'll see.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

Same BS all the time... when Keaton got Batman, mass hate.. when Bale got Batman, mass dissing too.. where are all the haters now?
Hell do fine. The guy has talent as a director and actor.
Now Damon can be Lex Luthor!! LOL

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

That windshield is cracked. Hot Toys quality control is at it again.

Re: Man of Steel 2 (Superman/Batman--Official title to be confirmed)

Ben Afleck is gonna make an epic Batman. Best ever... you'll see. This movie will win Oscars and even Day Time Emmys.

Seriously, chillax people.

I actually prefer the TDK voice over the BB one. The one in Begins was good, but You could hear that it was just a man who was trying to sound growly. In TDK his voice took on a whole other, bestial, unnatural tone, which I thought was perfect for Bats.

I think that heavy laden, bass growl sounds great, striking and fits the character for me. Especially since he modulates it in so many different ways and makes it seem effortless, not forced. Sure, there are a few off sounding lines (for example: "Hokey pads", "You'll be in a padded cell forever" and" There won't be any fireworks" being the main offenders), but those are the exceptions. The way Bale speaks it in the standard, non-shouting dialogue lines (like "if I get him to You can You got him to talk?" or " drop the gun", "beautiful. Isn't it?", "Then why did You wanna kill me?") his lips and expression are very soft, smooth and effortless, and yet his voice is reverberating all over the scene. In TDK in many moments it looks and sounds almost like he is whispering and yet bellowing at the same time, which I think is great and fits Batman perfectly. Its not just about hiding identity, its about becoming whatever he is under the mask. It makes him look more in-character, more dedicated and immersed. I wonder if the general dislike of the voice is really becouse the sound itself is silly (for me its great), or is it simply beocouse the people were caught completely off guard by it and thought the very idea of voice modulation was strange. I could never understand those who complained about the bat-voice, but had nothing against Roscharch's pained delivery, for example.

Someone mentioned Kevin Smith before. Sweet Jesus, imagine what the next "Fatman on Batman" is gonna be like :) That man was trying to boost Afflec's public perception for years.
