Now that we're almost over the jet lag, I managed to put my sail barge back together and take some photos with the old one and my BaronSat custom version.

The new one isn't as small as I thought compared to the old one. It's more the shape that gives that impression. There are more shots on my site, including some with the skiffs.

Thanks for the comparison, icruise. I still prefer the look of the first barge over the new barge. I didn't realize how much that sloped front affected the overall look.

Now that's the comparison pic I've been waiting for. Your custom is still the best one IMHO. The new one is just silly.

Agreed. An unnecessary upgrade since it is far too similar to the original. If they had to upgrade the sail barge, it should've been more like the custom shown above.

I don't agree that it's an unnecessary update. The original came out in 2006 and is rather expensive on the secondary market. Having a new one available in stores is good considering that they have a whole line of Jabba-related sets now. And I prefer a number of things about the new barge compared to the old one.

Yeah I think I may pass on the barge. Not enough of an upgrade. Compare the old Jabba's Palace to the new one and no contest as far as the new one being superior. Same with many of the revised vehicles. Now it's time for a revised Bespin/Cloud City, so guys can't sell LEGO Lando's for $80 a pop. lol

I'm finding more articles about the old man who was denied access to the LEGOLand Discovery Center in Canada. The one thing that pisses me off most?

The commentators and people who post comments about the man building the "Death Star" in LEGO form where the picture clearly shows him with the UCS Millenium Falcon!!!!
Oy vey!! :slap:slap:slap

I weep for those people. :monkey2

:lol:lol:rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Here is the article with video I am talking about:
