Thanks for the welcome's everyone. I'm the one that bought the Throne that sold so quickly! I saw it before I saw your post obsidian7, but thanks so much for the head's up anyway! I'm thrilled to be able to get it, just wouldn't be right to have all the other characters but no Buffy.

And now if anyone else is looking, I just went back this morning and there is now another Throne of the Slayer that is up for bidding. Good call, ElvenPrince, that there would be none and then all of a sudden two or three would pop up.

Like everyone else, i really hope they do another Buffy statue. Even if it took longer than expected to sell out the Throne, it still sold out. I don't think they would have any problems selling a new Buffy. If nothing else it seems like alot of the toy/comic stores buy them to resell.

Thanks, BuffyGirl. You seem like the resident expert so let me ask you a question. On Ebay there is an End of Days ET but it's not numbered because it's one of the 30 Artist Proof statues. I realize that this makes it rare, but I'm thinking I might rather have one of the numbered statues from the normal run that was done. Which would you prefer if you didn't have either and were buying today? Thanks!

I figured I'd chime in even though I'm not BG.

I'm definitely partial to the original numbered run, BUT with that said, I do have a few APs in my collection. The APs I do have I got through the original artist at a great price, so had that not happened, I would have kept my original numbered ones.

I think it's six of one, half-dozen of the other, TBH. Collector's preference. Some people go crazy over APs, others don't.

In all honesty, I love A/P. But in the end it really doesn't matter. I have an A/P premium format and I have numbered statues. No difference in them. I never think about the number. I don't turn my base over to check, etc. I just look at the statues.

Now you have to decide what means more to you, a number or the statue.

The statue definitely means more to me! The thing I'm concerned about with the AP is proof that it's legit. It just seems like when you have a numbered statue, you know what you got. Do AP's usually come with some sort of certificate or something stating it is an AP? I don't see myself ever selling any Buffy statues I acquire, so I guess "proof" isn't really necessary - I just wanted some comfort level to prove authenticity should I ever need to.

One of the other concerns I was wondering about was quality, but it sounds like that shouldn't be a concern.

That is basically my biggest worry. Do I think someone is out there falsifying Electric Tiki APs? No. But have I seen it done on other collectibles? Yes. I've even seen copying of numbered editions. It's possible with any piece.

I definitely see where you're coming from though about the 'proof.' My two APs never came with anything. It's just one of those things you take for face value. Before I received mine, I had Tracy Lee sign the bottom of them to add to the 'authenticity.' (Basically, it was more or less for my own peace of mind. Is it going to mean anything to anyone else? Probably not. )

Very excited, one of the customers at my shop is selling me his regular Buffy on Throne for original retail price. I have been waiting patiently for a reg to go up on eBay for months with no luck. Finally going to add Buffy to my collection! I'll post pics once she's at her new home

I have seen some SSC AP's that are labeled at the bottom of the base AP just like a numbered statue is.

Beautifully sculpted throne, just not so great in the likeness dept imo.

Still a wonderful figure to own though.
