Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Great figure but he's either too fat, looks short, or thighs just too big. Something just doesn't look right :slap

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

That ugly neck joint! Pass! Why does Hot Toys go full retard on certain figures and give them this ugly neck joint but not on others? You look at the Joker and his head and neck is one piece. Even the boring Agent Phil Coulson has a proper neck. Why can't they do all the figures like that? This ugly joint just kills it for me.

Because this has a sculpted neck and therefore if the head was sculpted to the neck the would be no movement.

INCREDIBLE.......... Release date?

Wrong

The cut should be along the jaw line and then around the ears and then the back hair line

Very common in neckless sculpts

This is just a cheap cop out

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Unlikely, considering the fact that Jor-El was teased along with Superman. I think we'll see Zod in the future, though, as Howard Chan referred to this as a "key license" which, I assume, means they're going to milk the hell out of it.

That's a bummer... Would be cool if it was Zod first than Jor-el. They would look badass side by side.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Headsculpt looks great. Body actually looks a little too stocky. Hope that's addressed. Will definitely be picking this up, and if necessary transferring to a different body.

But that would make the back of the sculpt weaker along the hair section and make it more likely to break.

Superman needs to be able to tilt his head when he's flying. Also since the neck is showing, they probably did not want to have a visible joint at the collar.

Would also be nice if the offered a second headsculpt with a different expression, but I'm sure they are saving for future releases. Haven't seen the movie yet (hopefully this weekend), but probably a Clark Kent version of some descript.

People are getting creative to making excuses to justify the failure to buy a figure.

I always use "I wish I could, but I'm broke now."

I think that honesty is always better...

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Finally!!!! Now awaiting for the pre order to go up. :impatient:

The key prop is a really good bonus. There was a contest online to win the replica from the movie in a special case. I thought I want that, but figured it would be impossible to win. I'm glad I'll be able to own it this way.

I do agree that the figure is bulky. Hopefully they are able to correct that, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Wish it had a flight stand for more posing options. The HS is great and spot on in my opinion.

Bring on Jor-El!!!!

That face sculpt is beautiful, top notch work. He does need to hit the Speed Force Treadmill though and the wrist parts are too thick. If they can make him skinnier he's a buy, otherwise I might have to hold off. It will also depend on the price. Who am I kidding? I'll get him, he still looks awesome!!

I would take no movement over this ugly neck joint. I have no idea why they make some figures with this visible neck joint and others without it.

What? How did you manage to pull that ridiculous theory out of your butt? Why would I need to justify to you or anyone my "failure to buy" a figure? Are you trying to be funny or are you just not too bright? I have said on these forums quite a few times that I would not buy a figure with that doll like neck joint.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

With this being a rather plain figure, I smell a Dx in the works. Perhaps two head sculpts along with Kent clothing....

This from HT would rock.

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Looks like Malgus made it here... oh boy

they do these heads differently beacause the need to achieve different things, like superman needs to look up to fly right? cant do that with the solid neck like the dx joker

Re: Hot Toys MMS200 - Man of Steel: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I absolutely love this figure, especially since I think the HS is spot on. And now that I have already watched the film, I cannot wait to get this figure. I agree with a lot of you on here that feel he is a little on the bulky side. Which isn't a huge issue to me, but wouldn't mind if HT got onto modifying/changing it to something a little leaner. But in all fairness, throughout the film my friend and I kept commenting on how huge Mr. Cavill is. A lot more mass than he had in Immortals that's for sure.
