Woah, I almost forgot about this one.

With recently announced figures coming up, I might have to put this one on the back burner, sadly.

I'll still have to wait and see.

That's a shame. Still, you get to see how the figure has been received, and whether it's really worth the coin. I've been Flexpaying this off for a few months. Never paid for a figure like that before but psychologically it's awesome. When I get this thing it's not going to feel like I just dumped four bills on it.

I've been setting funds aside so I'm ready to go! Bring it on! What's funny is if I get R2 then I would've paid the price equal to the PF but I'm sure these will blow the PF away.

I'm curious to know which ones you are looking at, Centurion. I was weighing the decision to get this one with my wife over the last couple weeks and we decided to do it, figuring that we could always sell it if we didn't fall in love with it. But, I'm pretty sure it will be a keeper....it will come down to where we put it.

Actually, this is the ONLY C3PO I would consider getting. Medicom's offering is shorter than it should be for 1/6 and Tamashii's appears to be the most accurate sculpt... and in metal!

I guess I'll just have to set aside the money for this now and worry about other preorders later.

I bought Tamashii's C3PO, yesterday. My wife was thinking it would sell out so she pushed me. We really liked the weathered premium figures, but going 1/4 scale would jack up our display and ruin they symmetry. Plus, C3PO's head was junk.

I've got 10 preorders right now, then there's still Scar Predator, and the recently leaked photos showing all the Iron Man 3 goodies from Hot Toys.

Looking at the face, it doesn't look quite right to me. Around the eyes. Don't get me wrong, looks great, probably the best I've seen, but still....

If R2 turns out as nicely....

Preordered it off Amiami. $400 was extreme in my eyes.... but for some reason $300~ became far more palatable. I'll just have to think of this as the definitive DX C-3PO.

AmiAmi is great in my book. I ordered a Scarecrow/Demon Batman from them before and shipping was done very quickly with great packaging. Also know of some people who buy expensive Gundam stuff from them without any problems.

With something this size, you'll have to go with EMS and that can get pretty costly. I've bought a lot of hollow vinyl Godzilla figures and the shipping from Japan costs about $50. Shipping on this metal C-3PO will probably be a lot. You'll probably get it for a little cheaper than going through Sideshow, but shipping will definitely close the gap a bit.
