I'm thinking next year... maybe May. That looks like an early development photo.

I have always hated the "cute" Jedi version of Chewie with the pretty hair above his eyes which this gentle giant bust is based on. Always liked the slick back look of Star Wars and Empire.

I am surprised to see so many complaining about the pose. I mean, that's how Chewie looks most of the time. He is never in a real action pose and I think a statue of him like that might be a bit silly.

If anything he needs to be a bit more pigeon toed just like he was most of the time in the films.

Price will be important this. I still havent ordered the droids due to price but plan to eventually. I cant form an opinion on him yet. I do think the pose is interesting but im also not sold on the sculpted look. He looks like my dog when he gets out of the shower. I expected SS to push the envelope a little on this with the latest statue capabilities but it looks like they are playing it safe. I would drop 400 for sure but if they pull up at 600 plus thinking I will pass

Must agree with this observation. I also don't like how they redid C-3PO's guts and R2's voice for ROTJ.

I think Sideshow did a good job on this one..i wont be getting it because..well for Premium Format it should have hair..not sculpted..I hate the sculpted look which upsets me because the 1/6 will be sculpted too I am guessing..just doesn't look right. Would be fine as a comiquette but not a PF when they are supposed to use different materials. But overall I would say he does look good.

He looks like he's cowering. Bad chice of pose IMO. Chewie has never been portrayed as the badass he could be. He's like a 7 foot gorilla that can pull people's arms off. Everything I see for chewie is about him running around with 3po parts or pointing his dorky crossbow. This piece doesn't capture Chewies essence. Someone get a chewie ripping the head off a trooper and ill put my money down.

I don't agree. I think this piece captures Chewie perfect. I think something like you suggested would be better off in the new Mythos Line. This piece is perfect for my collection and if they do a Mythos version it's almost a definite buy as well for me. This in my eyes will be the best representation of Chewie. I love it, bravo SS!

I agree! Best representation of Chewee, much better than Attakus or Gentle Giant version in my opinion.

PF's aren't just different mediums anymore. It's now classified as 1/4 scale. This is fine by me because some pieces need to be fully sculpted to look good.
