Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

After seeing the abomination that is Luke Skywalker, I can't wait to see this Arnold.

His head didn't look right from the beginning with that weird shaped head and the horrible eyes, I can just imagine what mass production will do to it now.

I want it to look great, maybe a tweak here or there, but if this looks like that turd Luke, it will be the last figure from HT for a while.

Pics of Luke and Batman have turned up but still no Arnie?

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

I'm glad we're not panicking just yet.

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Many people haven't been particularly happy with this figure to begin with so if it does get the same reaction as Luke and Batman it won't really be a change for this thread :lol

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Yeah but my hopes have been going down with this.. I thought the soft sculpts from Fury and Cap were the lowest they could go, and then they hit us with Luke. :lol

I mean, of all things a DX figure gets the ****ty treatment? That thing looks worse than Indy for crying out loud. I'm predicting lost detail, crappy weathering, fake leather trousers and tan skintone with this one, and will be banging my head on the wall for selling off my MMS original if my predictions come true.:(

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Yeah, there won't be much of a storm in here when the first pics hit since the hype for this figure is pretty low to begin with. I'll make my final judgement when it's in my hands.

I still don't understand why so many people dumped there mms117 like it was crap for this dx10, I think the orginal is a great figure all around and in my top 5 hot toys list still, its not perfect but man is it awesome. I will pick up the dx just because I'm a big terminator fan, but the sculpt on it from get go was nothing that blew anyone away.

In reguards to the lastest sculpts from hot toys I still not sure if there good or bad yet really, the last one I got was red skull and was very impressed with it, I have no interest in luke or fury so.... but will admit the clothes on the luke look like crap quality:slap

Re: Hot Toys - DX10 - Terminator 2 - T-800 Cyberdyne - Official Specs & Pics

Still hope this makes it out ok. If not, I'll get the EB BD T-800.

You hear me, employee of Hot Toys paid to read these boards for feedback? DO NOT RUIN MY ONLY WANTED FIGURE FROM 2O12 WITH MAD PAINT OR A BAD COSTUME!

I will be displaying both. Black shirt, shotgun and sunglasses for one. Gray shirt, bandolier and minigun for the other. :dunno

:goodpost: Yulli is a real tallent:

"Yulli is a Chief Sculptor based in Korea, and is responsible for overseeing the head sculpture process while offering professional acumen to create high quality collectible figures.

Yulli possesses over 12 years of extensive experience in head sculpting, and had initially sculpted 1:1 scale statues. Yulli is a passionate sculptor who seeks perfection in her sculpture. She is never satisfied with her works because she feels she can definitely do better for her next project.

Nowadays, Yulli manages a team of sculptors in Korea and is involved in coordination and communications between the creative and production teams.

Inspired by her father, young Yulli became interested in sculpting, and had dreamt of either becoming a sculptor, artist, or designer. Yulli's elder brother is also a sculptor.

Before joining Hot Toys, Yulli had studied Fine Arts in Hongik University – an extremely famous school of Fine Arts and Design in Korea. Yulli focused on sculpting as it was her main interest. She used to teach sculpting to high school students for 2 years after graduating from the University. In 2005, she met JC Hong, her great influencer, who had appreciated her works, introduced her to Hot Toys in 2006. Both J.C. and Yulli are working hard to offer high quality collectibles to customers.

In her free time, Yulli loves cycling and enjoys watching different kinds of movies."

For me after picking up the T1 the T2 sculpt was indeed very underwhelming. I sold it mainly for funds, as I couldn't afford the DX otherwise, but would've loved to keep it if I didn't need the money.
