$1000+ for a price of plastic, sone features, and led light. No thanks unless it turns out great.

why is it stupid ?

It's just overkill at this point. For them to skim over such great franchises (Harlock, etc.) and also ignore alot of characters from others series, to make something so useless just makes no sense to me at all. I mean, where are you going to put the thing? It's bad enough I collect man dolls, but this is just a huge step to the left.
Just an opinion.

Interesting. I've been selling off stuff trying to make room for new things, but this... Hopefully it will be at SDCC next year because I'd like to see it in person. But I can't imagine finding the space for it anywhere.

More power to them for pushing the limits of the hobby though. I remember when the load lifter from Aliens was pushing the limits of feasibility. Then I thought the Tumbler and Iron Monger would about as far as they'd go on making outrageous stuff.

I stand corrected.

Harlock? Huh?

And I feel it's a step in the right direction. Providing even more products in the most popular lines. Just because they have people dedicated to this project doesn't mean they're neglecting others. Fans of less known or popular lines should expect the summer lines to revolve around the new summer blockbusters. People thinking it's stupid due to unaffordable price or excessive space... Just forget this exists. It obviously isn't intended for you then lol.

Im sorry, but I firmly believe for the amount of money they are going to charge for this thing it should come with brushless electric motors, built in servos and be ready for REAL flight with an R/C transmitter. If it doesn't do anything other than sit on a shelf....WHAT IS THE POINT OF MAKING SOMETHING SO BIG!

I do also agree that passing on MANY other films, characters for development of such a piece may be a BAD idea (however business smart for HT, to cash in on the DKR cash cow), unless this thing does more than light up and seat figures. If it flys, I'm sure R/C fanatics will hop skip and jump all over this thing regardless of the price point.

I think its cool that they are least trying stuff like this. Will I buy it hell no but its cool for the people that will, if I went to a friends house and he had this on top his detolf it would be a crazy sight. Just because I dont want it tho doesn't mean its "stupid" "overkill" or a "fail"

I would totally buy this if I could. I can see it having a cool role in the film, perhaps coming in and kicking major bad-guy ass after a protracted period of the goodies being owned by Bane, his army and his camo-tumblers. Money and space are the only reasons I'll pass.

Agreed. If you want Harlock, I'm pretty sure Medicom made one. HT just isn't interested in that kind of stuff anymore.

i think this vehicle is a total waste of money honestly. tons of plastic at an overpriced price

this is the kind of piece that is made for people who's lives are set up for high end collecting. People with large rooms dedicated to big pieces, the sort of 1000 dollar plus pieces sideshow makes, like life size replicas. This to me fits into that catagory of collector, which not many people here fall into that catagory.

I don't think Hot toys should be criticized for jumping into this realm of collectors. They are looking to expand beyond the main stream collectors here, and I can't wait to see this.

While also hoping that existing 1/6 collectors will make exception and buy a really giant piece (as if the Tumbler wasn't giant) to complete their Batman collections. Some will.

Hey HT any chance of a tank HK from T1 and T2 in a few years time? (I'd be ****ed if one came out or was even announced now)

If the real full scale prop doesn't really fly why would the 1/6 scale replica suddenly have that ability? Without drastically altering it's shape to make it aerodymanic, and thus sacrificing screen accuracy (for a high priced collectible, I assume you want it to be as accurate as possible), there is no way a functional model of the Bat could be done.
