Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF

Nazgul-King, we will have to get together for a beer on November 11th to have a celebration of all things Spinal Tap. Even after all this time, it is still a classic.

I hope the price point is more reasonable than 1K, but given the size of the speederbike and the price point for that back in the day, I would think that $600 - $700 might be a little low. I would be thrilled if it were that affordable though, and I would be okay if the horse isn't polystone, as a solid horse would be massive, and given the nature of the rider, it doesn't have to support as much weight.

Absolutely. :duff Tap is a funny thing, My wife didn't get it the first time I had her watch it (this was almost a deal-breaker :lol). Luckily she came around the next time and now enjoys Spinal Tap as much as I do.

As for the RWOS - I'm still worried about the whole horse rearing up thing. That's potentially a lot of weight for two skinny polystone horse legs to be supporting. That's why I'm thinking that the 'Wraith might be plastic under the robes with only the exposed armor pieces being polystone. Either way, I can't wait for a reveal. :impatient:

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF

I'm sure they can reinforce the horse legs with metal to ensure strength. I personally would want a polystone horse. A plastic or lighter material wouldn't feel sturdy for a figure to be on top of.

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF

I can't wait to buy this p.f is there going to be more p.'fs from the lord of rings with this release.

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF

400 dollars for a premium statue is pretty step but i wouldn't intend on paying 2 grand on this one plus i have no room for them i hope more pf come out of lord of the rings in the future.

if i went crazy on the 2,000 statues like i did with the premium formats 9 statues in less than a years i would enough money to a deposit for another car lol

by the way is there anyone in australia who knows of a place that is selling aragon at the gates or wants to sell their statue or even Gandalf white on the horse i would buy these straight away if someone can point me in the right direction :)

You know I've read all the debate and angst about the three LSF releases thus far but for some reason when you reminded me that Sauron was in the LSF line and destined to be 2k my first inclination was that SS are nuts for pricing these that high.

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF

And you would be correct with that thought :lol

There's actually 5 so far.

Maul
Obi-Wan
Wolf Pred
Wolverine
Neytiri

Only Neytiri is cheaper at $1,600

If i were to buy these ones i am interested in neytiri, obi wan and maul not sure if i will take the dive and get these

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF

WHERE THE HELL IS THIS PIECE SS!!!

...now take your time and do it right. :)

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF

And Indiana Jones LSF, Catwoman LSF, Batman LSF too. :wave

Maybe Jake Sully LSF (I hope!)

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF

Hmm . . .an LSF eh? If you're looking for a centerpiece, one that immediately comes to mind is the Smaug by Weta. Then again, that's not an LOTR, but the base and faux-bronze look does exude quality about it. If you're gonna drop $400-600 for something bigger, then ARH Studios' Medusa would easily fit that bill. Then again, it's not LOTR.

How much did the 1/4 scale Star Wars Trooper and Bike go for? I'd expect this RWOS PF may fetch something close to that.

I believe it went for $799.99. I'm still kicking myself in the a$$ for not picking that one up when it was in stock. It’s one my of Grail pieces.

they also have two old ones - ironman and t800 endo.

out of all of them only the neytiri is worth the money. Not only because it's 400 cheaper but also the amount of detail that went into it is staggering.

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF

I for one would not or could not pay that kind of money for a single LOTR piece. Sure hope SS are not thinking of replacing my beloved LOTR PF line with a LSF one. :(

Really looking forward to the RWOS PF, it will be a must have in my book. :yess:

Re: Ringwraith on Steed PF

Yup out of all of those LSFs Neytiri is the only one I see that justifies the price and it's the one I'm definitely considering getting, just waiting on some in hand pics.

RWOS PF absolutely is must-own. Can't wait.

So what's everyone thinking on this, Comic Con? I'd hate to think it will take that long.

You forgot Iron Man in that line up which I think is still available after it was released about two years ago. I almost bought one when it first came out. I'm so glad I didn't. The only ones that interest me now are the Neytiri, Wolverine, Obi and Maul. I still don't think I will purchase any though not unless I can get them for about $1200.00 each. So if this is indeed in the price range of the Speederbike not thought needed I will be PO this bad boy. I still am eager to see a full reveal on this one.
