so after all the delays on this item, SSC emailed me saying either I can use my rewards point or get charged for shipping which I thought was free...upsetting really, wish they told me this sooner before they bump the shipping a few times..

Now they are charging people for shipping when its suppose to be free? Total BS there. Fight them about that.

Seems that no one thought this was going to be this huge(which is stupid we have been waiting 20+years) and the free shipping is cutting into their profits.

Well, actually I have noticed the body underneath is different on the second batch. The rubber was loose on the chest first batch, the newer ones are solid. No room inside the chest. The newer cape is a slightly different texture as well, more matte, but I guess all reams of fabric are going to be different slightly.

No, not the melvins.

I have seen the melvins before though when they were opening for Nirvana. Most of the audience thought Buzz was a roadie and were throwing stuff at him. Felt bad and a little embarrassed.

I saw the Melvins as headliners. They rocked!

I a few goes and I think I am getting it. The face you get already on him does appear to be the hardest to get off.
I would prefer it was shaped more like the Bale one but I know that may not have been possible with this particular cowel.

Plus Keaton does have small chin so it's hard to get a grip.

I am sure there is a joke in there somewhere!

I have just got corroboration, that's now the same info from both SSC and FEDEX...

My BATMAN will be here in 5 days!!! I don't really know if I am first or second batch (thinking about dates and it could be either I suppose) but I don't really care which it is.

Nor am I put off by all the brilliant pictures here, they have not dampened my excitement one iota...if anything they have just made me more stoked for mine. Thanks to all for the excellent artistic talent shown here.

Roll on next Tuesday.

..Damn it Maglor you are making me say it...
No.... the...first...batch...looks ...better....

But this is simply based on two figures, that I have seen inhand to compare.
There could be thousands of variations in both batches.
But the solid chest sticks out a little more, which I don't think looks as good, The belt sticks out a little now, like he has more of a belly, bulkier. The rubber on my first batch bats, is glossier, which I lke. the paint around the eyes on 2nd batch is lighter showing more skin tone (a little too much) but this is probably nothing to do which batch. Likewise the paint on the shield is better on my 2nd batch, heavier paint.

All in all, I would say the only real differences of note, at least based on the 2 that I have, are the new hard chest (which I don't like) too bulky. And the fabric on the cape (which isn't as leather-like) and the points of the scallops are more rounded, a little cruder I would say, I know someone else mentioned this before?

I think you can see the chest differences here:
1st Batch with "hollow" chest underneath rubber (much more accurate IMO):

And second batch with "hard full" chest underneath rubber (the belt tilts forward because of it):
