Premium Format New Red Skull PF

I own the original PF, and while it is one of my favorites, I was always disappointed it wasn't truer to the comic version with the oversized brows. But even though I was a little disappointed, I still bought it because the Red Skull is a my favorite Marvel Villain and I never thought we'd get another PF.

The hat is awesome, but the hat sculpt is not the comic version. The other head is the comic version that usually is seen w/ the green jumpsuit. With two head sculpts, all fans should be happy. But if you really want to make us happy, include the swastika on the uniform.

4 years have passed since first red skull pf, I think an improvement is required in the sculpted, pose is cool for me, however when this bill reaches our homes and begin to see the first pictures we'll see which PF is better, assuming its a characterization from comic....

Any revisits of characters are not meant for collectors that already own the original PFs. They are made for 2 reasons. SSC will always sell out of popular PF of revisited characters. Therefore, they will make money on them.

Secondly, they can bring in newer collectors. Many people won't pay the price for the original Cap, Hulk, or Doom PF. They simply can't afford it. These collectors may want an Avengers line up. If they just started collecting, they just may say...why should I buy an Hawkeye, or Vision PF if I can't afford Cap, Hulk, or Thor? To get new collectors (and new money) SSC will revisit these characters. This is a given.

Collectors like you need to ask just one question. Is the newer PF better than the original I already own? If the answer is yes, then sell the original and buy the new PF. If the answer is no, then pass on the new PF and keep your original one on display.

Either way, when the next Hulk, Cap, or Thor PFs are released, they will sell out whether you buy them or not. That is why SSC will make them.

Its good news who don't afford statues like Dr. Doom Hulk Comi as there prices sky-high ......they will revisit character again ya but not same pose they r going to repeat.....so someone likes old one with that pose then

We are still waiting on an official word as far as the new Red Skull PF is concerned. At this point, it can still be a movie PF with a comic COH. We still have to wait and see.

You will see another Dr. Doom. The only question is if the next release will be another PF or a Com.

Yes! If you have the money and the room for multiple releases of the same character, purchasing all of them is an option.

Pretty much in lne with what I said a few pages back, but as a fairly new collector who got a Wolverine PF last year, I can honestly say if they did a Brown costume Wolverine PF I'd get it and keep the original for two reasons:
1. Different costume
2. Different pose
It'd be nice to get Brown costume on X-base to match my other X-Men PFs...I plan on getting all the 90s X-Men PFs.

I think those two criteria will make revisits succesful. Although for characters like Spidey and Cap, you will need to redo the "regular" costumes at some point. That's what they're known for and what they appear in the most. Wolverine's costume changes every few years. There's nothing like comic book Steve Rogers costume. Nothing like classic comic book Spidey. That's why they always come back. For that reason the poses and details, (like shape of Spidey's eyes, a HUGE deal for me) must make the revisits worthwhile.

I would love to have an Avengers set, but I am one who missed the major Avengers. I was lucky to get a Classic IM Ex from a VERY generous seller, but I don't have Cap or Thor. I like the Bucky and Movie Cap PFs, but they're just not classic comic book Cap. Since Marvel PF's debuted in 2005, I don't think it's bad timing to revisit some earlier offerings here in 2012. A lot more people know about SS now than in 2005 who missed the older statues.

Do you know this for sure ink or is that just a guess on your part? I am beyond curious as to what kind of PF this will be. If this is comic book based then I have to belive yet another Red Skull PF will be released. A movie Red Shull PF to go along with the movie Cap PF. 3 PFs of this character is kinda hard to believe. Don't forget they still have to make a Com of the character as well. That would bring to total 4 FS Red Skull statues by SSC.

I agree with Ink with it being comic based but that's base solely on what I see from the production video/pictures.

I'm also not entirely sure if SS will release a movie Red Skull PF considering they didn't with the other movie pieces, except for the Destroyer Maquette which was previewed at the same time with the movie Thor PF.

On further note I have to disagree with you regarding how Sideshow "still has to do a com" remark. They don't really have to release a character in every format & they have clearly shown that. No Doom, Green Goblin, Cap, Thor & so on. I'm not saying they shouldn't or they wouldn't, just that it isn't set in stone. Would hate to raise the hopes of the new collectors just to set them up to be disappointed & all that. Jibber jabber done.
