:goodpost:
Absolutely! I am not going to rant tonight as i am only half way down my bottle of Cotes de Rhone instead of at the end, as I was last night, lol! :slap:monkey4
But for all those who said that I was against alternative opinions, I am not. I just disagree with the excessive vitriol. I think this figure doesn't look too bad in photos and if all my other hot toys are anything to go by then it will be a million times better in hand than the photos show! :)pray:).
The sideshow Han Solos on my shelves are crap by comparison and I love sideshow. Ford is an enigma when it comes to sculpts and I think this is as good as we'll get! So guys I'm sorry to appear a sad yay-sayer, but I am happy my $200 has been spent on this instead of yet another posh dinner and bottle of wine.
I do respect all of your opinions...OK?
Oh ____, this is my second bottle tonight:panic::horror:chug

I really am stunned by fellow collectors who say they can't see ford in the sculpt, not even in OMG's incredible pictures. Get a grip guys, this is a ____ing toy. Yes, it's an expensive one but it just seems to me that some of you would kick off about the sculpt even if they shrunk Harrison ford, cloned him and then shipped him out in the box. I mean, by way of comparison, look at the effort from cinemaquette. That thing went (and still goes) for $2000 and it looks appalling compared to this. I'm delighted with the look of this figure and that i didnt cancel. It's just as good as the Robert Downey junior sculpt from our iron men figures, arnie and T-1000, Christian Bale, etc. I just don't get the almost cult hatred thats grown for bashing this figure. Those of you that maintain that the sideshow representation is a better effort, well, I mean, there really is no hope....

:lecture:lecture:lecture
It's a hobby... I think this looks good... poss the best so far, but jeez it's a toy. GET A GRIP.

Yes, that's actually a good comparison. I really think when all is said and done its a simple fix...slim down the jaw line.

Again, someone post that Small_studios manip...that's really what somehere here should use as a guide when they "fixed" their Indy sculpt.

Look, this figure is beyond redemption. It doesn't matter how much you try to like it or imagine how it will look when you resculpt it (and why the ____ should anyone have to do that for a figure that costs this much?) the fact is this is a gay-looking eyeliner Indy and that, I'm afraid, does not match anything I saw in Raiders of the Lost Ark. I just hope Harrison Ford doesn't see this or we'll never get another ____ing Indy figure again.

The wookster is G.O.D. when it comes to action figures, even Michael Crawford respects wookster! So bow down y'all and quit yer yapping and whining. The wookster has spoken!

(Is that enough respect wooks? ;) :) :hi5:)

This reminds me alot of the HT Alien experience; very divided camps on that one, very vocal and mostly heated.

I like the HT "Giger" Alien....*ducks flying tomato*.... but with Indy, a very dear character to me, I find myself on the nay-sayer side.

But I'm always willing to see better pics.

Or do a little "work" and fix this mutha.

There's some great new photos over in the DC section. Photos of Superman. Just sayin'. Looks a lot like Christopher Reeve too.

Ugh that IMO looks not so hot sorry WG.

You mean Smallstudios manip? Really? I thought that was a still superimposed when I first saw it. Not sure it can be accomplished on the given sculpt but I find it more accurate than the given HT jawline. I think he bent the nose too which seems to help.

Eyeliner.... ?

Also, is the holster oversized like that or is that just macro lens?

You see Short Round applied some while he was sleeping on the plain. That was in a deleted scene that didn't make it into the film.:rotfl

Triton's pics look good, I prefer the second pic (amazing). The other two I can comment on the neck and costume but choose to pass. Allowing you a moment...:nana:

It looks better than what HT is giving on this piece but that's not saying much.

Flosi's friend:
its horrible
i can see him there but at the same time it looks like him with a bad makeup job and a droopy face

There you have it. Let's close this thread. Someone.... hello?
