Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

You sir - need to spend less time here and more time in the real world.

I will continue to state my opinion for as long as I wish and it gives me great satisfaction to do it knowing that it pisses you off.

And you need to find someone who holds your opinion in high enough esteem to give a rat's ass that you have advice for them.

If you had half the mental horsepower you wish you did, you'd realize that posting for the sake of pissing people off is the definition of trolling. So thanks for owning up.

Now, why don't you prove me wrong and take your obsessive compulsive self-important horse____ and shove back up where we don't have to smell it?

Bring it on buddy. I can read this all day - it's hilarious.
There's actually many people who share the same opinion as me (on the HT Superman AND on the jerks who frequent this forum) so there really is absolutely nothing that you can say which will make me feel regret or remorse about anything I've written.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Are they more people who waste their time in the real world trying to make imaginary characters in multiple scales with such snobbish accuracy that they've become numb to the actual importance of their petty fetishes?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Well - why don't you start a poll if you want to find out.

I'll take snobbish accuracy any day over NO accuracy.

Also, I don't own any figures other than the PF Indiana Jones (which I had repainted and upgraded with more accurate accessories. LOL), so it's not really an addiction for me. I hate to think about what you do with your figures if you consider this hobby to be a "petty fetish". Ugh.

Maybe they made a tactical call on this and decided to go with the one they have done over a more acccurate one for the sole fact that a lot of people would prefer a 'neater' one than an accurate one.

Not me though, I would love a more accurate one too but this figure is a dream come true already for me so I ain't complaining.

Or maybe DC/WB told them which logo to use. :dunno

I don't want to find out. They're important to you, not me. And if they spend as little time here as you do, but still find time to cry about the people they don't like, maybe they should start a knitting circle. Or lay eggs. Or get their nails done. Whatever keeps their ____ retentive puling off this board is fine with me.

Thanks for the advice. I'll pass that info on to them and let you know how it goes.

I'm out of here but don't worry - I'll be back when pics of the final production figure start showing up. Look forward to sharing my thoughts with you then.

He has- a trusted following and long history on more enlightened boards than this. If all you have to show for your 'wit' and insight is a post count more akin to mileage you might try contributing some observations about, you know, the figure or something...

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Quit with the lame responses. There's a big difference between the prominent chest shield on the Superman costume compared to unseen (for the most part) Joker socks.

I couldn't give a crap about the socks but when something is slap bang on the chest of a figure and it doesn't look correct - that bothers me. Especially when there's no apparent reason why it couldn't have been done correctly.

I hate to resort to this, but since your trolling is taking on a new level in this thread, why not look at what you previously posted (post # 4313). Granted, it's not the same head-sculpt that you were referring to, but Hot Toys has made improvements over the prototype. I guess that you just needed to find something else to nitpick, huh? In any case, kindly eat your own words. :wave

THIS is what it should have been from the get go. Nice work Arnie.

I can live with the costume innacuracies if the production version has this head sculpt instead of the other flawed version that many of us "complained" about.

Makes that first version look like a "Medicom" sculpt in comparison. This is MUCH, much better. Thanks Hot Toys for listening to the fans!

Is enlightened another word for ____-retentive?

How exciting. The "my posse is bigger" defense. Can they really boast such enlightenment regarding the exact measurements of Superman's logo? I can't tell you how impressed I am.

As for the figure, I'm pretty sure we were having a fine, peaceful conversation about exactly that before you guys showed up.

Thanks for the advice. I'll pass that info on to them and let you know how it goes.

Good for you. Tell them how impressed I am with their fetish. :wave

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Did you know that some people had to buy $200 Joker socks for their Heath Ledger figures because HT was too lazy to make them screen accurate?

This is true. They HAD TO BUY THEM. :monkey5

There was a gun at their head, so they paid two C-notes for pinky-sized socks. These folks were perfectly sane, but they were under duress! Evil, evil Hot Toys forced them!

It's a wicked damn world in sixth scale collecting . . . :rolleyes2

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Ok enough nonsense - a civilized debate about inaccuracies or not is all well and good but this has now descended into namecalling and pointless repetition

Any more insults thrown around will be met with infractions

Which was exactly my point. He will have to make new logos for the cape and chest, and it's all Hot Toys' fault, but he was so hung up on how important that detail was to him that he completely insulted and disregarded how important the socks were to those guys. Not very polite.

The stitching on the upper left hand corner isn't perfect...if this was the HT costume I'm sure there'd be many complaints, the decal solution ensures straight clean lines....people get so attached to their customs that the blinders go on and they can't see any faults in them. Nothing is perfect.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Nothing is perfect.

Except for the costumes, as they were on screen, most of which lasted for the duration of the shots they were used in.

I think Harrison Ford put it best when he responded to a fan asking about the length of different bullwhips on some late night talkshow: "Who gives a ____."

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Actually, I was merely stating how unimportant the Joker's socks were to me in comparison to something which is a lot more visible - namely, the chest logo of Superman's costume. This thread is for the HT Superman, not Joker.

Which was exactly my point. He will have to make new logos for the cape and chest, and it's all Hot Toys' fault, but he was so hung up on how important that detail was to him that he completely insulted and disregarded how important the socks were to those guys. Not very polite.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Ok so the logo isn't perfect- what about the rest of the figure- lucky we are getting this fantastic representation...I can not wait to have this...incorrect logo and all...

:goodpost: :exactly: I'd have to guess most of us feel this way...it looks amazing and I cant wait to get him!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I think I could even tolerate PERS if that is what they opted for in the new sculpt. It looks that good (although, I will be much happier if what we're seeing are eyes that have simply been given the attention sufficient to look that realistic). I'm less enthused about the resemblence than I am about the expression on his face. This has much more of a warrior's semblence than the prototype face.
