I want to take this moment to say the Sideshow, as we all knew, rocks! I just got an email saying that my issue has been resolved and a Jason exclusive is going to heading home to me. For those sending a little hope my way - thanks.

Can't wait to display and photograph him
WOW!!! That is great news, brother! Big ol' honkin' congrats!!! :rock

Thanks a lot for the kind words, guys. :)

Just got word from the dealer that my Jason regular should ship today! :yess:

Literally seconds after placing an order for what looks like the last Vampirella exclusive PF. Good Sideshow day. I hope I have Jason tomorrow morning...

Great news. Congrats! Hope you dig him. I don't think I could live without the maskless Jason personally.

Looking forward to those F/S threads. :nana:

True, I do cycle through a lot of stuff. But once a particular piece rests in my tiny collection for a while and I continually go back to it and find it visually arresting, then it earns a permanent spot in the room. Very few items do that however. The 1/2 Alien head signed by Giger, the bronze Grendel, the Alien diorama (my first of course), and the Aliens maquette is making itself comfortable as well and waiting for its brother the Alien...

I've mentioned it before, that while the crazy maskless version is unsettling, the masked version tends to frighten me and lead to more nightmares, personally.

Still, excited to see this huge behemoth in person.

I've taken the liberty of PMing myself this post to razz you if and when that should ever wind up in the F/S threads. :lol

The Grendel is unlikely to ever leave my possession. They are just too damn hard to come by and the one guy I spoke to at SDCC this year who always seems to be holding one, wants an ungodly $3500 for his, so I'm still quite happy with the deal I made. Hunter is the centerpiece of my collection. I just need to focus on getting better lighting in here, in the collection room.

Is this LOTC we are talking about?

LOTC?

Grendel is a comic book character created by Matt Wagner during the early 80's independent boom. Hunter Rose is the first incarnation, and my favorite.

Oh, look, only 25 Bowen bronze statues were cast in the mid 90's:

When I met Matt Wagner a few years back at SDCC, and asked him to sign my Grendel Prime statue (which he also did a sketch on! :rock) he told me a funny story about how he received one of the bronzes and caught his wife using it as a doorstop. :lol

Yeah, he told me that one too when I was in deep search for one. I remember the punch line being...

"Not the ____ing bronze, honey!" :rotfl

+1...Jason to me IS the masked version so the EX wouldn't of given me anything except to say I had the EX. Would never of displayed it maskless or with the machete. Not feeling that Parkinsons looking hand either.
