Jumping in this late because I avoid this nightmare of a thread like the plague but I did want to express my wholehearted disappointment that we did not see a revised sculpt at SDCC. With the near perfection that Is Superman, Jack Joker etc theres no excuse for dropping the ball this bad.

What Im saying is if someone cant handle the fact that Indys belt is the wrong shade of color, really need to check themselves into a clinic. You know...deal with some REAL real life problems.

They say that there's only one way to true happiness - low expectations. Perhaps HT has blissfully distorted the 1/6 status quo so much that collectors will forever be unhappy going forward...

managed to cancel my preorder. hopefully there will be revisions and they have already been done but there wasn't time to send it to comic con. even jack sparrow smiley face wasn't there. i guess we will find out for sure next friday at ani-com.

You know, there is hope that both sculpts -- Indy and Sparrow -- will be shown at AniCom because word is HT is holding back the Keaton Batman for that show but announced that they will display him there. So maybe they're splitting the goods.

Be great if all this nonsense ended with an absolutely amazing sculpt!

I gotta say, I see alot of things wrong with this figure, but the holster is the most accurate color I've seen. And no offense to him, but it's not the orang holster mfisher makes. If they chang the head and jacket I would be happy.

I was thinking the same thing, of course long before you.

Seriously, too much info not to believe that. Between AK's tweak posts, Gruson's friend -- who prolly, like him, is a sophisticated collector and saw the new sculpt and HT's reputation for not punting a dog Icon piece when they have the capacity and pride not to, I'm leaning towards seeing a new Indy sculpt.

Then again, there's the jacket, belt, etc which I think they will punt on in either case. Stay tuned.

I gotta say, I see alot of things wrong with this figure, but the holster is the most accurate color I've seen. And no offense to him, but it's not the orang holster mfisher makes. If they chang the head and jacket I would be happy.

I actually like the jacket. A little thick looking maybe? Like its got a winter liner but the detail looks great.

I don't like the material looks too much like hasbro's jacket, and ya it's to thick which prevents it from falling correctly IMO

The one thing that bothers me about him is the shoes and boots are colored to brightly, there supposed to be worn down combat like boots, like SSC did these look like two badly done bright shiny brown loafers

I was feeling the same way until I saw a video of a close up of the shoes. They look pretty weathered. Detail looks awesome!

Latest intel courtesy of GrenadierStinny of OSW:

I could not get any official word since the HT crew had left the show already, but I did speak with someone from Sideshow.

There is the understanding that there are sculpts that are still getting "tweeks" made to them. Indy might be one of them as might be Superman. They do continue to change sculpts up until final production, but HT does not give many details to Sideshow. They "play their cards close to their vest" as I was told.

So, no official word that Indy will be changed, but I was told that Yuli (I believe) was going to make a second pass on some of the Arnie Kim sculpts.

I guess this is still a wait and situation with Indy... So, we'll see.

The shoes look a lot better in the pics of the map room environment on Sideshow's page...
