Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Man, can't wait to pose him next to Keaton Batman.

Actually, I would instantly purchase a MK Lois Lane......and a 1/6 Helicopter. :horror

I plan to post Keaton with Joker, but posing him with Sups will be very tempting. :exactly:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Sorry if this has been discussed to death, I just saw this now:

I have to admit, I kind-of wish I hadn't seen this...the improvement is incontrovertible.

:lol just as Batfan and Void were making an awkward but steady progress in a different topic direction.

Jaroto mate, among the many, many posts you've made that have been slightly different iterations of the same tired sentence, this one shines through:

"seriously guys, the more I watch pics and compare them, the less I like the sculpt. I insist HT made a bad decision hiring Kim. Im out."

You're like a spaniel humping this thread's tired denim-clad leg with your incessant bleating about this sculpt. You insist you don't like denim and you're out, but here you are, time and time again, humping that leg for all its worth.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

What this thread should be all about.

:clap
:exactly::goodpost:

Afterall it is Memorial Day weekend.

Where can this be purchased for the best price (including shipping for continental US)?

Thanks

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

...on the HT FB Page somebody was asking if the clip for the flight stand could be clear, I wouldn't mind that?

Clear Clamp please :pray:

Yeah it should be clear

So long as it's not fragile like Medicom's stands.

That would concern me too, 'Nam. If strength is an issue, I'd be happy enough with a blue (or even a red) clip. Either way, that black is a little too conspicuous for it's own good...it's a fairly glaring "flaw" for an otherwise top-notch presentation.

I was going to PS a clear clamp over a photo of a real clear clamp to point out all the flaws with HT's clamp design and color choice, but i've decided against it now :lol

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

The quality isn't good enough, I can't really see her likeness. Someone should enhance it and post a comparison of the two.

:nono You'll have to go to another forum for that type of stuff. Given the pic Flosi posted in my Visitor Messages, PM him and I'm sure he'll be more than happy to steer you in the right direction. :lol

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Courtesy of Gretzky99 at toysdaily,

An article from "The Sun" HK newspapers

Excerpts from article,

- Ht had long planned to do CR's Superman but it was only in recent years did Warner started releasing it's licence;
- PERS was initially planned for him but resulting effects were deemed 'average' during production so was reverted back to the usual painted eyes;
- cape is wired;
- No plans for a CK version in the short-term future;
- the initial plan for a light up fortress base was scraped because HT was unsatisfied with the resulting uneven light dispersion.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

So, how do you think the packaging will look? Elegant(like the Godfather) or average(like the T-800)?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

One thing I've liked more about the DX line is that the packaging has seemed much classier than that of the standard MMS line in recent years.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I hope Hot Toys just comes out and makes announcement like, "____ you guys, we're done. No Superman, the hell with it". Better yet, I hope they "tweak" it and ____ it up so it looks worse.

This is a discussion board, I am free to express my opinion despite the fact that a majority liked the gif. The quality was just bad and I think whoever transferred the video to the gif could have done a much better job.

I'm working on a gif as we speak that corrects these problems. Even though the message is clear, I think my 3d representations using my superior adobe product will do the job nicely and demonstrate how inferior that gif you posted is.

Further more, while the sculpt, I mean gif clearly gets the point across it's just not as good as it could be.

Sorry, Nam.

Oh and who ever agrees with me that the gif isn't that good, a thousand glorious :exactly::goodpost::exactly::goodpost::exactly: for you.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I want the packaging and box to be epic! DX quality. Classic. Mabey even come with a collectable Christopher Reeve as SUPERMAN comic still or somthing.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Sorry KneelBeforrSmallville, but that post just won't do. In an effort to strive for perfect grammar and spelling I decided to post a comparison between what you posted and how it should be.

I want the packaging and box to be epic! DX quality. Classic. Mabey even come with a collectable Christopher Reeve as SUPERMAN comic still or somthing.

I would very much desire the packaging quality to be on par if not better than what we have received with DX figures. Something very classy. The packaging could even come with a collectible Christopher Reeve as SUPERMAN comic or something of greater value.

Also your name, I suggest you alter it. While I can clearly see that you have meant "before", it's just inaccurate to what I feel it should be. Your handle name could and should be better. Please drop the second "r" and add an e.

Thanks. Oh, and I also sent this to your facebook wall as well just in case you can't see it there.

I'd like it to be something elegant. The Superman logo embossed onto a Blue background. On the back, feature an image of the original Theatrical poster above the credits. Inside, have a Certificate at the top about the character (like the card found with the DX Joker) and the man(with information about the Reeve Foundation. Underneath, have the figure housed in the foam they use for the M Icon/DX figures. Finally, have a cardboard dio of the Fortress underneath the layer of foam, and I'll be happy.
