Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I never thought I'd say this about a commercially available 12" action figure, but that is a work of art. And five minutes after it comes out, the price will double. Within one year's time, resellers will be asking Tumbler prices for this thing.

Wow. Just wow.

The pic with his arms on his hips....that's the money shot, right there. I'm not the biggest Supes fan out there, but...

Best
Figure
Ever.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

yes, that's it! I'd love to see that segment again and compare it to this hot toys supes.

I believe they shot the film in the UK because i remember when my parents vacationed out there I begged them to look for that miniature at the stores out there (I naively thought maybe you could buy it in the UK since they shot the film there :slap). This figure is such a dream come true on so many levels.

yup, it was shot at pinewood studious in England. i would love to own some of those miniatures. the cars and buses looked amazing too. they were huge.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I don't think I've ever been this excited about a 12" figure and I'm 26 year old grown man.:lol Can't.stop.looking!!!:drool

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

This looks fantastic. Everything about it is spot-on. I'll probably get 10 and sell of 9 for 100x then what I paid for it :)

Although prices on Ebay for it are really high right now!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I hope we get a Clark Kent, too. That will pretty much be it for me when it comes to 1/6 collecting.:lol With this release and my pending 1/6 Fellowship being completed, I'll have my most desired pieces.:D

Do nt worry im 45 and still get the same buzz :wink1:

The Tommy Wong two-hands out photo is one of the very best 1/6 photos I ve ever seen.Looks alive.

I slated the Cinemaquette last year and this is exactly why.I would ve bought that if it had looked like this. How are Hot Toys able to achieve such perfection time and time again??$2,000 for that and maybe $200 for this.Staggering.

Im sure the filming miniature Superman Tbay mentioned earlier went up at a specialist auction a little while ago by a company called "Profiles in History".Made quite a bit too.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

There's already some joker try to sell one on eBay for £215!!! Ha!!

That's gotta be like $400 or close right?

Some people

I'm new to this so is it sideshow collectibles who tend to get the EX?

I wanna get that one, can't wait for this figure!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

They'll have fun matching that awesome HT skin tone. :cuckoo:

Ya, it is bugging me a lot that people are increasingly unhappy with anything HT does these day. The expectations are getting unrealistic.

You see a lot of people in the customs section with no problem spending a boatload of money for a customs that sometimes isn't even close to a HT level product and yet there will be people getting very critical of HT and their pricing for almost each new release (which has an amazing bang for buck ratio).

This head is perfect to me already. A must get for me. Alice and Supes. Christmas came early.

Btw thanks for the decals. Can't wait for them to arrive.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I wish I liked it, but I think the head sculpt is a little off. Also the uniform color. Good figure but could have been much better.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Amazing that on Facebook people are complaining that this isn't a DX....

Hot Toys were pretty clear from the start on this one (weren't they?)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Awesome!!! My most wanted figure finally a reality!

The head sculpt rocks! I admit, I too think there's something slightly off about the eyes but I'm still mightily impressed. Definitely Reeve! I think it's funny Hot Toys mentioned the hair sculpt as, while I was viewing the leaked images, I was actually blown away by it. It's unbelievable how many frickin' lines there are within!

I am a tiny bit disappointed that Supes doesn't look like he'll come with any crystals. Including the kryptonite necklace as an exclusive is pretty rockin' but I don't think I'll be using it for poses unless Hot Toys releases a Lex Luthor figure too. (This actually seems doubtful because they gave Superman the one accessory that would have gone well with Luthor.) Then again, if Hot Toys does expand on the line to include villains, I'd much rather have Zod, Ursa, and Non before Luthor.

I hope they make this a full line and revisit Jor-El and give us a Clark too!
