The New Hope Gang all together. You can see that each head has a slight different shade to their skin. I followed reference closely to get the skin tones as spot on as possible.

Looking great man!! yeah the thighs are a pain. I dremmeled mine down really thin... also you can warm the cast up in hot water and the resin will go soft... so you can push it up a wee bit..

Cheers mate I may give that a go as well. I heated the hands up so I could pose them also.

Can resin be heated and manipulated then? I've been wondering about this lately because of a custom project i'm doing. Thanks for any help.

It can indeed be manipulated however resin can also have a memory so once it's cooled down then reheated again it can go back to it's normal form lol

Yep I cant speak for other folks cast and stuff, but the resin I use can be warmed up in hot water and be bent, or stretched...

On heads its great as you can warm it up and push stuff into it to get scars and cuts! :) I will try to find some pics Platty.
:)

Found some :)

Thanks for the info that really helps. Dorgmal your work is amazing mate I have been loving these space marines. I plan on doing something similar with armor over an underlying bodysuit, not a space marine but something similar. The style is awesome

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to show something I'm working on over the next few weeks which I'm sure will turn into months. I got my tailor to do the body suit and the mask! He has done a fantastic job on all the tailoring.
I still have a lot of work to do on this! The head I'm using is the Mesco 1:6 collector figure. Which I have dremeled all the details away apart from the mouth and the eye area. If I could sculpt I would prefer to have 2 heads for example one with the hair flat so the mask can come on and off and the next one with his curly hair so he posed without his mask.
I still need to work on his hands and on his sticks. I'm also going to use a Hot toys Slim. I'm also going to be working on a Hit Girl Figure as well! I loved this film and always wanted a 1:6 scale figure.
Let me know what you all think.
