I should clarify, he has the ability to make custom ties. He made a Clark Griswold tie for possible Clark W Griswold customs. Check it.

I understand. I have been after a buddy to work me up a resin version of the basic Indy head (my favorite still for my Raiders look Indy as I prefer the expression for it's serious face which he had mostly in Raiders, and it's one of Trevor's best sculpts to me) for years now.
My own Indy, which I have been working on for nearly 13 years or longer, still is unfinished due to this one single anomoly. If I can get it resolved, I hope to help others with the same problem (I have a few I am trying to paint, and can't get past this problem yet). If anyone else is having it, and have solved it, they are pretty mum about it, or their resolutions. But this is a problem for it's own thread and discussion, so let's not derail this one, but I am with you too. We'll solve it! It can be solved. :rock

definately, i did start up a thread about this a couple of weeks ago, but like you say, others seem to have got around this problem so maybe we had a certain batch i dont know.
Anyways, back to Sallah, Ive just ordered a rhett butler figure for the waistcoat so all i can do is wait...

As I said before, I have a bar Marion. I need to make a new shirt for her, but I am pretty happy on how she turned out.

I also have made a German Mechanic.

I am currently working on adding more epoxy to his head.
I also made a figure of the Sergent that throws Indy from the truck.

Just for fun, this is a pic of some of my brother (Mr. Fusion) and my Raiders figures.

So I have all of the various pieces of my Sallah more or less ready for assembly. But I still have an unpainted head. I'd consider taking a whack at it myself, but I want it to look good!

Do you guys have any suggestions for who I should approach to paint it? There are so many super-talented artists on these boards it's hard to know who to ask!

:panic:

Any advice? Suggestions? Preferences?

Very cool collection! Best Marion I've seen, and I dig the Mechanic a lot. Is that a modified SS Buck?

If you don't find someone here, there's a thread in the customs section that keeps track of who does commissions and who's open/available.

Thank you very much. I have worked very hard.

I would love to know what body that is on the Mechanic, and if it's been modified. I think that body works great for him.

As a matter of fact, it is a mid to late nineties Hasbro body with the muscle arms. I just packed a lot of epoxy on the torso and cut the hands off and glued on Pro fists.

Here is a link to the same type of body I used: https://cgi.ebay.com/Hasbro-Star-Wa...886?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27b2ae0276

Ingenious! I actually never thought about building a body up with putty or sculpy or whatnot. That's a great -- and simple -- idea!

After Sallah and Marion, I might just try to upgrade my own German Mechanic with your suggestion.

I just PM'd Spenser about MARION. At one time, he expressed possible interest. I haven't seen him around much lately so I'm not sure when he'll get my inquiry but I'll keep you posted.

As you know, the MARION train is pulling out of the station, but I still want to see more pics of Sallah's in progress. He's still my principle project right now.

Soon, we'll have Sallah AND Marion! How's that for service!

I just PMed Josh with HOPEFULLY getting my Sallah on his plate for Oct! I need to finish my shovel but until the head gets back to me painted I probably won't be doing much.
