i like mccoy, but if him getting hurt means he slips to a second round pick where the broncos select him, i be happy!

I would like to give my congrats to Boise for being National Champs this year. I have been in the US for about 10 years and still do not understand how National Champs are picked but they seemed to be a better team then Bama.

? they would have been squashed by AL, TX, FL, etc.

Better than AL, TX and FL is laughable.

Though I agree that the BCS ranking process is lame (there was a serious bias this year trying to keep USC rank way higher than it should have, for instance), even Boise's players know better than they aren't the best team. Bama would have probably embarrassed them.

Probably but understand I am not a collage football fan and only watch games here and there so I am only going with what I see at the time. I just think there is some unfinished business this year and feel kind of sorry for Bama as their win seems diminished.

That's the problem with the stupid BCS--you never really know who is the best. But for what it is, you can't really prove your worthiness to be number 1 more than Alabama did. They went undefeated through the regular season against SEC competition (by far, the toughest conference in the country), they handily defeated at the time undefeated Florida in the SEC championship game, then go into the national title game ranked #1 and handily beat another heretofore undefeated team. I think they said Bama beat 6 teams this season who went on to win Bowl games, whereas Texas had only beaten 2. I'm not sure how many Boise would have beaten, but their opponents during the regular season would have played in crappier bowls for the most part. Their most high profile non-Bowl win was probably against Oregon, who lost to a still really over-rated Ohio State team (IMO) in their Bowl game.

The title game went to caca when McCoy went down.

The competitive balance shifted making the game.......boring and predictable. As a spectator not routing for either team, I watched several ho-hum bowl games that were much more entertaining.

I thought bigger bowl games this year (except Cincinnati and Florida) were evenly matched and fun to watch. Even some dinky bowl games were solid match ups. I am not a fan of BCS but this years results weren't bad.

Bama may have won but I dont know they were best team. They beat a team that had to play pretty much the whole game w/ a backup QB who is a freshman who had taken very few snaps and no meaningful ones. I think that game would have been 14-0 if Colt was in the game early and Bama would have had to change its game plan. And WTF was Nick Belichik thinking w/ fake punt. I think thats says a lot for what Bama really thought of the Texas O.

Boise wins BCS games becsasue of two things. First is trick plays, they reley on trick plays to win games and is proof they know they are overmatched. Two they have beat didnt want to be in that bowl game. Ok had no desire to play them and didnt play until second half. TCU didnt want then they wanted a real challange and even said they wanted Fl, and they came out flatter then a pancake.

All things considered, I'm very proud of the way Texas handled themselves after Colt went down. :clap (other than the interception to end the half) :banghead

And being 4th and 23 deep in your own territory? Maybe he figured NO ONE would expect it. Definately wat too early in the game or field position to do that.

And the new USC head coach is......Lane Kiffin.:lol
I think that it could be good for Defensive recruiting, if you are defensive player I dont think there is a better coach then his pops in college football.

I dont blame this one Monty though, Lane yeah you can say that to him though. But this could and will likely be to Tenn's advantage in long run.

Not good for the Big 12....the end may be near.....

Mizzery will follow the Huskers.

Rumor now is Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech will join the Pac 10.
