Would any of you guys be interested in a 1/4 scale character on steed and if so which one? And how much would you expect to pay?

I wouldn't want a huge statue of just a regular ass horse. Thats really boring. If it were a warg, fell beast, or a heavily barded warhorse that might be interesting. I don't collect statues of mundane animals though.

PF on steeds or maquettes on steeds?

Though I would dig an Aragorn at the Black Gates done by Sideshow, in the interests of doing characters that haven't been given that much love, I will go with Theoden on Snowmane and Arwen brandishing Hadhafang with a poisoned Frodo facing the Ringwraiths.

My choice would be a Mouth Of Sauron on his armored steed. If it were done in PF, I would expect the cost to be $350+. If in maquette form, $300+. Either way would be an incredible piece!

But the speeder bike was made of a lot of separate pieces. A horse would be a single piece with saddle, etc. That's not nearly as complex, and it has significantly fewer molds. Maybe more for ringwraiths because of all the armor.

I'll go $600, but that's it.

Actually I would suggest that the horse is probably the most complex creature to get right.

$350? A 1/4 piece with a rider and horse would be more like $700-$800.

My random guess was $350+, so I'm covered.:nana: :lol

Seriously though, when I said PF I guess that I was referring to mixed media more than 1/4 scale. I know that 1/4 is a part of the PF line but I think that SS has stated in the past that they would not be doing any 1/4 scale horses (the question was actually about MOS on steed). But it seems like there was an inference that they might consider doing one in a smaller scale.:dunno Then again, I may have been wanting an MOS so badly that I was reading into it what I wanted to hear. (My poly statues are near my computer desk; I might have inhaled too much at the time:lol)

still too low Id bet .... :monkey1

I think so too actually, I was being conservative. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it were upwards of $1000. When you get to a piece of that size, it's going to be very expensive, period. Sculpting a horse at that scale wouldn't be any less complicated or time intensive than sculpting speeder bike components.

Arwen on horse with Fordo in front from the FoTR running away from the ringwraith and raising her sword :) that would be nice.
