Thanks Hydeous. You know i thought the DX paint was pretty good too, just needed to be tweeked a bit and i love the PERS eyes system. I wish all sculpts had that feature.

Definitely! They need to let him tackle the PFs. Some of them would be even more awesome with a paintjob by Josh!

Thanks Scar and please post pics when you get him on his body. Always enjoy seeing the final products. I didnt even get to see BH all finished until you guys did.

Dude! You need to start saying to Sideshow, "Please send along a pic or two when you have [figure x] completed so I can see how my work looks with everything put together." I'm sure they would be willing to as long as you keep it to yourself, which I think Beachhead has proved you can. No harm in asking right?

Very true however i almost like waiting with the rest of you guys. I kinda like being suprised....hopefully in a good way though.

You know what IMO makes your work so special Josh? You're paint style has a certain softness to it that makes it almost look factory painted.. but like, if it was a factory from the future lol.

also, just curious, do you use a sealer for your paints and if so, which one? All the varnishes I've got give it a certain glossyness that I really dont dig. Tips?

Yeah i always seal my paint work. Try a matte finish or testors dull coat. You can get that stuff pretty much at any hobby store.

Josh, congrats man! I tell you when I saw that first teaser photo of Beach Head, I knew it was your work man, thats one thing in the painting business you can tell who other peoples work is most of the time. Really happy for you man!

I knew from the very first pic posted on this forum.... you were going to just blow it up!

Congrats on the gig with Sideshow....Your work should be an inspiration and set the bar for sideshow to strive for (however I think there is going to be a slight feeling of bait and switch when we see the final factory job doesn't live up to your paint apps....we can hope it comes close though)....

Ok guys since this is finally a go i am proud to present GI Joe member Beach Head. I was very happy i had a chance to paint this guy up for Sideshow. More pics can be seen on the official website. You guys will not be dissapointed in this figure. I had a chance to paint both sculpts as well as all his gear. Take it from me ,as a fan this is the one to have!

Wow, sorry I missed the original announcement! That is awesome! Congrats......they couldnt have picked a better painter!!!
