I'm like that too. I actually drop weight fairly quickly when I start working out. I cut out all junk food and soda while upping the water and healthy foods. My friend's GF is the type of person that always says she's gonna do this and that while trying the latest fad diet/workout stuff. She even went out and start the Vitamin B injections...and ended up putting on weight after stopping them because she eats junk food all the time and complains about not having time to work out.

Vitamin B injections?

That's pretty much what I've done to lose 11 pounds this year. Now to keep doing that and firm up a bit.

Both of those sound like a mirror reflection of what I am dealing with. I have actually converted a couple of my co-workers to being more active in the gym, but the woman is not doing that great but talks about it all the time.

Dayum!! :drool I would drink YOUR supplement if u know what I'm saying? :naughty

LOL!!! U know me to well Jimmy!!! I'm always out on the prowl for my next booty call!:naughty

And yeah....got the AB Rippers video too! It's all come in the same package! (That's what she said) :)

You know I do ! :rock

Nice ! Can't wait to try it.

So I feel like a failure today.

I was supposed to do the AB Rippers today but I couldn't. My muscles are so sore that, as much as I tried, I just couldn't even do the first set of crunches. :(

Hopefully my muscles will recovery enough that I can do them tomorrow.

Sorry guys. :(

It happens. You need to allow recovery days. Especially when starting out.

I know I felt it before and I am sure I will feel it again !

I am doing mostly chicken like we said. Making my last meal early as welll with light snack (Peanut butter anyone) after. :rock

Well until Hairless answers us about the Vitamin B shots....

I just wanted express my frustration again. He mentioned that he's lost weight by cutting out junk foods and soda and eating more healthy and drinking water. Well.....I have done that as well and I feel like I'm in a stand still..... I haven't eaten junk food since the beginning of last month and I never really drank a whole lot of soda....but it seems that this is not really working for me.

I know you've guys said that numbers shouldn't be the prime objective, but I've been working out every day, eating healthy and living a more active lifestyle and I haven't lost not even one pound since I found out I lost 10 pounds, which maybe has been a week and a half ago.

So what gives? Am I not working hard enough? I'm doing everything you guys are saying, plus I'm doing portion control? Is it becuz i'm a female??

Arrgghhh losing weight sux!!! :(

Post you diet, I am serious BAM, I'll help you but we have to see what you are eating daily.

It's only one of two things, not working hard enough in the gym to get at the burn rate or eating too many calories?

edit: also the water weight is the first to go, then slight changes may need to apply once the initial drop.

Ok...I'll start posting up my diet then...I haven't been doing the FITDAY thing...cuz honestly work is hectic and I the only website I manage to get on a bit is freakboard.....But I'll remember to jot it down on paper and plug it in at home, then post it on up here.

Thanx Ski!!!

Do not give in Bam. After a quick weight loss from 217 to 196 I was stuck at 193-196 for a while ( about a month) and after that the rest just dropped off.

Helpful hint is that you really don't have to count calories as long as you are getting 5-6 meals a day and that you know what the calorie content of each meal is... It's just eating every 2-3 hours from there on like clockwork.

Small changes in the diet can break the plateaus as well, we just have to find where you are going wrong on a few choices for food. Once it's posted I can guide you to the light :rock

sorry Bam. Vitamin B injections are/were a fad with people because there were some studies that showed people losing weight when taking weekly injections of it. I was working at a gym 2 years ago and that's all the women that came in there talked about. Its pretty expensive too, like $50 a week for it. Of course, there were some other studies done that proved it didn't really work.

:lol:lol:lol I never heard of this... oh well, that's just too funny though.

Thanx Hairless!! Now that you mentioned it...i think I have heard of that process...but never looked into it cuz of the cost.

I do however get Vitamin B-12 shots regularly becuz of my Anemia since it helps with my energy levels ...I also have to take Iron Supplements.
I don't think that having those shots have effected my weight since I only get it about once a month...but I will ask my doctor the next time just to be sure.

Also...I wanted to ask....is red wine bad for you?

A glass won't hurt. Only thing with alcohol is that it stops the liver from processing fat. Once the alcohol is out then the body can remain it's normal state of processing fat. So if you drink a glass of wine and then chug a gallon of water to flush it out, then no it's not bad. :lol

Hey Ski this is my problem right now.

I weight train every week and have been doing cardio as well 5 days a week. I've been gaining weight instead of losing it.

Back when I started cardio, for the first 4 weeks I lost 5 pounds but after that it stopped and my weight went back up.

Just to have some history on this about 6 years ago in high school I weighed around 215 lbs which then dropped to 155-160 after starting cardio. I maintained my weight and about 2 years ago I started weight training with cardio but didn't start really understanding the mechanincs behind it until mid last year. So now really I'm just trying to lower my body fat percentage but it doesn't seem like my body is letting it go. I'm about 155 right now which makes it sound like much hasn't changed, but I do definitely have musculature compared to before. My height is around 5'10". I'm getting pretty frustrated that I'm not burning my fat which is why I've turned to HIIT. Is this a good move?
