Dev! Where've you been hiding?

And yes, Public Enemies have kind of been a ghost series, 'specially in my neck 'o the woods.

whats goin on swift? I have been MIA, getting the wedding plans finalized and almost switching careers. I have also been working on my wedding cake topper (DCU Black Canary and Green Arrow).

I have wave 11 and wave 12 in my BBTS pile of loot, so i cant wait to get them on the shelf. It seems everyone thinks highly of those 2 waves.
I have never seen the public enemy line, in stores or online. I dont know how i missed that.
How are the public enemy figures? do they compare to the DCU line? or do they have the ridiculous muscles like the McGuiness line?

Same old, same old, my friend. PE uses the same basic bodies, although there's a larger torso that is new. The heads are kind of hit-or-miss for me. I grabbed a Batman when they first came out, which my dad has since inherited. They try to emulate the McGuinness artwork for the headsculpts, which doesn't match the regular DCUC's, but with Major Force it doesn't look so bad. Another problem is loose joints, but MF didn't suffer as badly as Bats.

Lots of reviews tonight, so let's get right to it. I found half (well, four) of the new DC Universe Classics wave 12 figures, which works out well since 4 is about the right number to cover at one time. I'm looking at (and loving) Iron, Eclipso, Spectre and Dr. Midnight.

I also have not one but TWO guest reviews from Jeff Parker, but on Hot Toys figures. He's checking out the Wesker and Sheva from Resident Evil in one review, and the Alien Big Chap in the other. You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!

I picked up wave 12 today, and don't need most of these guys. So if anyone is interested, I've got the following, loose with no BAF part:

-Copperhead
-Desaad (minus stand)
-Mary Batson (red)
-Mary Batson (white)
-Eclipso
-Iron

for $12 plus shipping each (probably about $3 in the U.S.)

Let me know if any of you are looking for these guys.

Just got my Riddler in the mail from a fellow freak who's selling off their DCUC (spiderbo). I dig him even though he's a repaint of the suit body they've been using ad naseum. It's a shame I'll probably never get my hands on more Metallo pieces, as the torso itself is phenomenal. Thanks spiderbo, and sorry to hear you're getting out!

I never liked that the Question marks don't continue onto the arms. The Prototype had them on the arms too. He looks goofy with them just on his torso.

I feel the same way about the Metallo. I had the whole wave and then sold them to a fellow forum member (a different forum) because I thought I would easily find them again as they had a few cases hanging on the pegs at the walmart where I found them. Of course when I went back to get a set for myself, they were gone and I never saw them again.

Your more than welcome. I hope you enjoy him. I still have plenty left of other DCUC if anyone wants some.

ToyFare apparently just announced wave 14:

I guess there are pics of them too, but Fwoosh doesn't allow scans. So if anyone knows where to find them you go on my good list :)

I guess this forum has no interest in staying in the good graces of Toyfare magazine :lol

Personally, I'm really psyched about the Hourman and Alan Scott. 2 more golden age JSAers! :rock

Thank goodness I haven't started on doing a custom GL. It looks like Mattel is trying it's best to fill out various team members. I'm not a big fan of the Legion but I wonder why Mattel is not doing any of those figures?

That's a dang good question. There are so many of them, that it would take a lot longer to get through their ranks than the more recognizable JLA and JSA members (and most of the obscure-o ones), but they haven't released a single one, have they? Damned if I understand why they are doing the Metal Men first.

The brand manager got into comics during the Death of Superman, you think he actually knows who the Legion is????
:naughty
