I went 1 day without shaving during a period of time I was playing WoW (a few years ago). That's the worst it got for me. Self control. Practice it.

It's because of fanatics like the kid in the video that the general mainstream observers think the MMO audience are mouth-breathing, basement dwelling misfits.

Well, I can tell you (in all honesty), that all of the WOW guys I know, are mouth-breathing, basement dwelling misfits. :lol But, perhaps you were an exception.

There are over 11 million WoW players. You must know a lot of them. To put that into perspective, that is more than the population of Michigan.

But you might be right, I alone am the suave and sophisticated exception. :D

I'm gonna call real, I've seen kids freak out like this as well as when I was young threw temper tantrums all the time, maybe not this bad but I can totally see this being real. If you haven't seen anything like this you haven't lived in the real world yet, where people are unstable.

I love how when the father yells "Shut up!", he immediately becomes quiet.

Imagine if Bob Saget's America's Funniest Home Videos was still around. Do you think this would win?

kinda reminds me of this kid minus the remote up his bunghole. anybody remember this from a while back? :lol

It's amazing what WoW can make you do.......

A few years ago if someone would have pulled the plug on me I might have glanced at my HK 9mm sitting under my bed......

2 years WoW free on July 28th (there might have been a slight relapse when WOTLK came out lol)

Couldn't agree more. I play a lot of WoW and I have a wife, a 2 year old son, a daughter on the way, a new home and an awesome job. I usually play about 3-5 nights per week, mostly after my wife and son go to bed. It is all about self control and having priorities.

:lol When I think of WoW, I always think of South Park

I like how he's freakin out then for a moment thinks about sticking the remote up his bum. Classic.

Thats where I think it gets fake. I mean a remote up his bum, really? But some people do freak out over video games. There have been news articles where it even leads to someone being murdered for taking away their xbox.

and they're like 25-30+ and still living with their parents right? I kidd.

As much as people are blasting wow for this, Wen I worked video game retail in the mall, i saw breakdowns like this, and WORSE than this from my customers when we did not have a game ttthey wanted about once a month. And no, I ^^^^ you not.

Some people simply can't handle reality.

Having played wow off and on since launch day, I'll say this. Like all things, DO MMO'S IN FREAKING MODERATION And you'll be fine.

And adding to a comment from earlier, if you cancel your account your characters Stay For ever, Blizzard will not delete them .

But if you type "DELETE" it gets rid of it right? That is the only way to loose something if Im not mistaken

Yes, but that's YOU deleteing them, Not blizzard. and even then, Blizzard can restore them up to 3 years after you delete them, possibly even longer.

I just watched the video and wow. I really hope it is fake cause if it was real then that kid needs to get some serious help. I played Final Fantasy XI for about a year and a half and while it was fun and addicting, I know I'll never get that upset over a video game. I mean it's just a game!

Yea but if your mom cancels the account it might as well be deleted if you have no money to keep it going on your own.....

:lol Since this thread is still kicking. Here is the response video (or someone recording it from YouTube) of the aftermath
