I never bought a Bowen figure so I was wondering how are they in terms of quality? Are they worth the price for the size? I like some of the Marvel stuff especially the Hulks and was thinking of buying them.

Bowen has really been stepping up their game lately!

Nash is to Bowen as Josh is to Sideshow. ;) :lol

In all seriousness 95% of their stuff not only amazing but looks exactly the same from proto to production. My only problem with them is that its really more feast than anything else so your wallet has to be prepared for it to keep up.

Ok now that was the biggest low blow ever. Youre no longer iron man in my eyes.

Bowens full sizers are awesome and highly addictive if you're into a lot of Marvel characters.

The scale is ideal for building displays of multiple characters without taking up tons of space. This is a big plus to me since real estate is at a premium in my "office". :lol

"Big Sexy" Kevin Nash?

IMO the size isnt even an issue. people see them online and think they are like 6 inches tall or something.

I've got a few bowen stuff and i think they are great got most of the new bowen hulks on order aswell.

I am a big Bowen fan I have maybe 30 pieces. Heres my take on it.

There are hit and miss pieces, look on eBay, the ones you see for 300-800 were hits! Below cost were miss. By cost I mean well below retail, as almost any release can initially be had for less than MSRP on Bowendesigns.

What they look like on the website, is exactly what they look like in your hand.

QC is pretty good. Of the 50 or so I have owned I've only gotten 2-3 with factory paint flaws and they were very minor. For prepaints they are insanely good.

The scale is awesome, it shouldnt bother you. They arent as big as PF's, but have way more class than any HT/12" figs IMO. Im not saying they look better but because they are a solid statue vs action figure, the presentation is just different. 99% of his statues are perfectly scaled and display just right with each other, there are a few exceptions.

The range of characters is INSANE. The statues alone have so many obscure characters, start getting into minibusts and forget it. I recommend starting out with some characters or a team you really love. Or hero and his archenemy.

Busts are cheap but really great quality, and while alone they arent impressive if you pair them up with their full-sizes, or related character full sizes, you can get some great display action.

They hold value just as well as anything else. Ive never really lost money when re-selling. Just like anything else though if you buy something with a run of 5000 for $110 bucks dont expect to see $200 back from it.

The customer service there is great (Virginia) if you choose to buy direct. You can save some bucks on eBay but as we all know that can bite you in the ass once in a while.

Good luck! :banana

I would like to see a Bowen statue next to a PF so I can get an idea on the size.

Here's a few bowens next to some 12" figures - shuould gve you an idea of size. I imagine the upcoming Hulks will be about the same size as Thanos there (or at least I hope they are - lol)
