Just as an update, my wife went and bought a few types of fabric for this, she'll be working on this in a day or two. She'll be going for accuracy, including the little lightsaber pockets and stuff. Does anyone happen to know someone with the exclusive who could take a few shots of the back of the cape, spread out? She's looking to get a little more detail (we're looking through reference shots now). Any additional info would be fantastic!

She should have a prototype ready pretty quickly, we'll see how it comes out and we'll go from there!

Edit : Found some really nice shots after googling for a while, so more shots aren't necessary for now.

The wife and I were off in Vegas for a few days so she couldn't work on the cape, but since getting back, she's been able to work on it, as seen in the attachment! She should have one ready by the end of the week. She said that the parts shown are the basic parts of the cape, the lightsaber pockets, the charm/latch, and whatever else are coming.

Sure, I'll have that some sort of quote later tonight. I know what she was planning to do was sell the first one for half of the price she'd want for the rest, but with the condition that the person who gets it realizes it's the prototype and provides good quality pictures of the cape on the Grievous so she can make any necessary adjustments to make it fit even better (although hopefully, they aren't necessary!)

You were the first one to reply after I posted the progress, so the prototype is yours if you agree to the pictures thing! She's thinking the $60 from earlier in the thread is a good price, so the prototype would be $30 + shipping (which would be like $5 I imagine).

I'll post more updated pics once they're available!

3 more pics of the progress, and another message from her :

"Okay, so the cape is about 70% finished now. The squares are actually a bit too small on this version, it will be fixed on the next ones and the lines will be 100% straight. The fabric on his actual cape is a type of silk quilt fabric, which is really hard to find, especially with small squares. If I can successfully find some here, I will offer capes with that as an option, which would make the cape slightly cheaper."

She's been somewhat sick after we got back, so progress was slow, but the first one should be done hopefully by tomorrow night. Once it's done, I'll post proper pictures instead of attached ones, since attaching them reduced the quality and added a bunch of compression to the photos!

not to get off topic. but can someone tell me what a exclusive is going for? of general grievous. what is a good price? thanks for anyone that can give me alittle info on this

best to look on spacemans auction tracker (google it) and that gives a price of hw much every one sold for in the last couple years, I think about $450 is a good guess.
