I'm not upset about preconceived notions regarding the character Boba Fett -- I laughed and I laughed when Koska beat his ass.

I'm bewildered but mostly insulted that Disney would put out such cheap, poorly conceived, written, directed and realized 'content' for any property and smugly get paid.

Who cares?
Lol I do, in hindsight....
wasn't expecting kaiju/King Kong, a Mando/Fett teamup, MASTER ASSASSIN Fennec Shan (because the idiot script has her introduced that way, as tho anyone goes around saying "Car Salesman Joe Shmoe":pfft: anyway Fennec actually assassinating, and Cobb Vanth lives.
And the droids were pretty awesome too.
Just disappointed Rasta Tusken didn't leap from an alleyway.:lightsabe

Yeah, but I'd be lined up for the next one like eating chips you know are bad for you. Plus now, you never know if they will stick in an episode like #5 that is awesome. It's pure evil.:devil

Besides the fact this show inspired me to cancel my D+ subscription, there's a deeper meaning to my not caring about King Kong ...

... it's no longer enough to wow us with realistic monsters, vehicles and environments. Any studio with deep pockets can do that. The final frontier is now good writing, original properties and great directing. Wonder how long we have to wait to see that?

Crazy talk, I know.

It was only your memes that allowed me to come to terms with Koska. :lol

Though I did come around to thinking she is cool in her own right and if I get back into HT would even be tempted to pick up her figure.

Yeah that was definitely a surprise wasn't it. Having Mechanic Lady joining the fray and NOT the Tuskens was a curveball none of us saw coming, lol.
I like Mechanic Lady. She's got this scraping to get by personality + a pack of cute droids.

Anyway am sure a Season 2 would be a regrouping; it's not like F&F aren't taking the response to this show in, and so is Disney.

Yeah, but I'm never not gonna appreciate really good tech that brings something impossible to life, and the detail work to do that well. Like the closeup of Grogu when he approaches the Rancour. IMO they've done some amazing stuff with the creatures in this show - here the Rancour's eyes, dirty teeth, etc.

IMO it matters. Will never forget watching the big Black Panther end fight and just assuming it was some sort of pre-vis. Nope. That actually was the real thing released in theater + the fake rhinos. :pfft:

Yeah as much as I hate that one gunslinger guy I've always found Mechanic Lady to be likably kooky, lol. In a perfect world Season 2 (if they make one) will have somebody offing most or all of Fett's new "family" in the first episode so that the remaining episodes could just be him in full John Wick revenge mode. But we know that won't happen so hopefully they just move on and relegate him to cameo status for other peoples' series.

Yeah a-dev referred to something in a recent episode being a "self-own" and it kind of seemed like they were going down that road with Cad Bane when he said "isn't this about the time that you jet off to your bacta tank?" I thought damn Cad echoing the fanbase there, lol. Which begs the question as to whether they knew they were portraying Fett as "soft" from the very beginning or if that was a last minute insert midseason in due to fan response. Either way it definitely made Bane more badass.

I'm with you. Seeing photoreal effects applied to SW icons like the Rancor has been such a deep-seated dream for literal decades that I'll never not be in awe no matter how many other movies show us similarly convincing critters or visuals.

I thought the Rancor looked great. Considering it was in bright sunlight too, it didn't look out of place. :rock

Boba Fett spent most of the season like...

And wow, did he ever pilot it to great effect. First, he failed his flight school refresher course when he left the parking brake on while reacquiring it at Jabba's palace; Second, he did what all good pilots do - use their ships to give an underground monster a throat examination. Open wide and say 'Ah!' Mr. Sarlacc!"; Third, he mows down the Nitko speeder gang - you know, the guys who DIDN'T massacre his Tusken friends; and finally, he FORGETS he has that amazing ship when he's at war and desperately needs it. Yep, he checked all the boxes for us! :lol
Wait!!

By Fett murdering an entire group of people for a crime they did not commit does that make Fett the ESB villain we were hoping to get :panic:

Honestly I thought of that especially since that scene occurred after Fennec told him that it was unlikely that the Nikto riders were to blame. Then when he blasted them he looked over at her like "yeah that just happened, you got a problem with that" and she was all "damn no, we're good, I ain't going anywhere", lol.

First episode of Season 2 Timothy Olyphant will walk onto the set with police & point Boba Fett out. They'll arrest him and throw him in jail, then the remaining episodes will be dedicated to "setting up" Season 4 of Mando. :lol
