I have the SWS & still think this is an awesome statue. My only concern is that I may yet be priced out of something that I've already bought and mostly paid for. Sounds weird saying that, but I guess that's the position we're all in. I mean I can afford $800+ shipping, but I really don't want to pay that kind of money for it, and frankly we shouldn't have to....

I know what you mean mate, it can be a tough choice. For myself, it has now come down to buying want I really love (almost need like) and passing on statues that I kinda love (it'd be nice to own it but I won't lose sleep if I miss out) so a big difference if you know what I mean.

This is me man. I don't have the room for statues I don't love. So i just did up this rough planner for what I want in mt collection. Far from filling my six moducases, but should have 7/12 by the end of the year.

It's YOUR money - doesn't matter if it's a popular opinion or not :)

Besides - there's lots of people that really like this (me included).

.

Yeah I know, just sharing :) but I just think this looks better than the other Maquettes to me, even though they look amazing as well, I just like this the most overall. Love the pose, the base and the switch outs. Provided the final product really does look like those nice photos posted recently, it's a perfect statue IMO.

Yeah - it's a winner for sure.

Their design, sculpting & marketing teams spend 2+ years coming up with AMAZING product (this + several other of their Predator-related pieces).

They generate customer interest, including huge praise from myself, and all of this is ruined by 1 or 2 idiots on their customer service team. Shame on them.

This is a seriously good statue! I think the SWS has elements that better this, and will probably never be bettered. But even I'd agree that the DX version of this is the best overall package that we've ever been offered. It depends how it looks when it arrives I suppose, but I can see this easily becoming the centrepiece in my collection for now. Hopefully they'll make a bust of this as they did with the Fugative.

Well as a 20+ year fan the franchise (most of my life), I pray this wows me in person. Loved the proto of this statue and even contemplated not getting the CM or Winston Maquette due to how much I loved it. Ultimately bought the others since the orice was too good to refuse. Legit $7.5K delivered for both.

Yeah, sad isn't it. Very poor from them.

That is actually a good price, well done!

I think if it looks like it does in those recent photos most people will be pretty happy with it.

I just wanted this to be close to the prototype, not asking for perfection but damn I love the look of that proto so much! I'm really hoping it's close!!

I compared it to the prototype when I called it a bootleg, not the film prop. Most people here are doing the same.

The mandible on one statue is glued improperly and there's light bleed on the wrist computer, the head dots are misaligned on two of them, there's too big a gap between the strips of dots on all of them, the body paint in general is barely above Sideshow quality, the finish is duller, and the head position appears to vary.

We've only seen three or four different statues so far, but each has its own problems which suggests rushed production. What does it matter if these are the first in-hand pics? Most of them are clear enough to tell the quality is dramatically reduced, let's say to 60% since you asked.

Some new pics. These are low-res, obviously filtered and color corrected, but they do a better job of confirming the water on the base. Head position looks better on this one, not entirely sure.
