Between this and Hellboy Hot Toys are definitely putting out some interesting things, with great shelf presence.

A redo of the Crow would be most welcomed.

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

I would love a Crow reissue. Seems more like a Threezero thing now.

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

The Crow was a great release just short on accessories. Shouldn't have been the case considering the movie. But I heard Brandon Lee's family would only allow HT to release a figure of him if it didn't promote violence. So no guns/knives :dunno

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

Hot Toys make to pre-order numbers based on what we all order plus extra what shops or distributors like Sideshow think they'll sell. I doubt Sideshow will make mega orders after their lessons learnt with Ep 7 figures.

Plus New Paint Boba is on the way, and who knows what other version/s from The Book of Boba.

Yes but this is a totally different situation than the Ep7 figures since many of them went up for preorder before anyone had even seen the movie. Now people are dying for Mandalorian related figures but companies have to play catch up since Lucasfilm isn't sharing hardly anything before a season starts. Sideshow's order for this figure will be tremendous, it's already hard to find at other places one week out.

Plus we saw with the Dark Side Anakin issue early on in the pandemic, Hot Toys continued to produce that figure well after it initially launched.

I don't know...

Both deluxe and standard versions are still available on Toyswonderland, Toysbuyingagent, KGhobby, lacitedesnuages and practically everywhere in Germany.

For this price tag, I'm not sure if it's only a hot cake for hardcore or hyped fans.

Plus not everyone likes the monk look and they prefer the repainted one or the classic one.

It will be interessting to watch the development once the season 2 hype is over.

Not to forget that Marvel is slowlly getting on a roll with Wandavison, Falcon and Winter soldier, Loki show and the next cinematic wave.

Sorry, just trying to be critical...

Yeah, think it can be forgotten that a huge part of the audience may view Boba as that "bounty hunter who died in Star Wars" if they even make the connection. I'm one of the ones who was baffled by the mystique? obsession with the character and had to go read about it. 'Coz, yah know, he was a minor character who DIED. In a pit. Being digested.:monkey3

That may be sacrilege to Boba fans, but there it is. But I liked Boba in Mando, and - Temuera Morrison. Loved the look. Worst case, figure I could sell, tho I don't sell my figs, so far. Had RP points and it's a fully loaded figure (gawd knows HT puts out enough thin releases:pfft: - they seem to be cutting back on the number of hands, for one thing). Plus Mando and Boba together on a shelf are badass.

(Also, tho I'm an MCU fan - like OK, Falcon and Bucky; a series I am really looking forward to - but do I really need any more MCU? Raises the age-old question of "when do you STOP?" I need another Obi-Wan more than another Falcon and Bucky, even if they are in the top tier of fav MCU characters for me.)

Ok, true. I obviously forgot to consider those who got to know Boba Fett in the Mandalorian for the first time, who don't have any emotional connections to the OG trilogy and just like his apearance in the show as it is :)

Well, it can suck tho becoming a fan later than sooner. 'Coz then u are paying 'bay markups:horror or second hand, not knowing what uncaring owner put their greasy fingers all over the figure u want so bad.:lol

Like if the Boba series takes off and new fans decide they have GOT to have this set; and they end up facing insane prices.

My comment was talking about Sideshow distribution and US Retailers, so I wasn't talking about place in Hong Kong and China that sell the figures.

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

No doubt this is selling well in markets that actually like Star Wars... but HT will probably make too many of these 2-packs and it will take three years after release for the value to finally climb. HT also has the single Fett pack to sell. I'm certain the single pack Boba Fett will be the more valuable set in the future because so far fewer will be made.

Not that future value means anything because 1/12th is the future. :lol

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

Well, yah never know after that first server-crashing show. The memory of shelling out for premium theater tickets for Prometheus left a permanent scar.:horror

Then there was the GOT debacle. And THEN there was TROS. And Disney seems to have focused all of its money (good) and attention (bad) on the D+ series.

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

Yup. And this is Star Wars. He?s totally gonna have a brand new suit for his own show. I?ll guarantee it:lol

You could be right. But then that defeats the whole "sentimental" attachment he has to his armor because it belonged to his father before him.....but Disney and HT will probably say "**** it, we can make more money if he gets a new suit".

Armor, Jetpack, and helmet will be the same as that’s the sentimental pieces. I have no doubt the flightsuit will at least look different.

Re: Hot Toys - TMS033 & TMS034 - The Mandalorian: Boba Fett (Regular and Deluxe versi

Maybe he will frame his old armor in the spot where Solo once hung.

I think he meant new suit like new paint job. I don't think he will get an entirely new set of armor.

Favreau, Filoni, and Rodriguez are EPs for The Book of Boba Fett. They're not going to have the character get rid of his suit because they know how important it is to the character and what it means to him. That was the whole reason Fett met Djarin in The Tragedy, which Rodriguez directed.

Different paint scheme, under suit, additional armor pieces, or accessories are definitely possible, which would be enough to sell to collectors just the same.
