It really sucks because, as I understand it, bowel cancer is among the most curable when caught early. It must have announced itself too late in his case.

Whatever you think of the films he was in, Chadwick brought charisma and vitality to an exciting character. Just nailed it, and I can't believe he pushed through and accomplished what he did in the midst of that scenario. He acquitted himself incredibly well. Now that's a role model.

Woke up to this news, last night and I was stunned. I guess I hadn’t seen some of his recent photos and I had no idea that he’d been sick. What a horrible loss. No one that young should have to lose their life. God rest his soul.

So you're telling me Chadwick had cancer throughout the entire duration of his career as Black Panther? Except for the actual filming of Civil War, his fame as BP was always accompanied by the knowledge he was fighting for his life? Brave warrior indeed. Rest in Peace.

Yeah that is a pretty incredible accomplishment.

His dusting scene in IW will be on a whole new level of sadness now even with him returning in EG.

Had his passing been in his 60s, 70s or 80s then not so much it would just be viewed as another movie death scene but him dying just 2 years after IW forget about it ughhh.

Same goes for Carrie Fisher.

BP might be one of my least favorite MCU movies but I absolutely love having his bad ass action figure in my collection!

Have you watched it again since the theaters?

I thought it was much better on 2nd viewing.
I don't see how BP could be anyone's LEAST favorite MCU movie. Only thing I had a problem with was the very poor CGI in the final fight between T'challa and Killmonger.

I think the film in general was over-reliant on CGI and honestly, the majority of MCU films (even ones I love) have questionable endings that usually devolve a bit. But one my favourite scenes was BP and his entourage rolling up on the casino. Very James Bond-meets-Marvel and it was a fun fight.

Least favourite would be somewhere between Captain Marvel and Dark World. The former felt rushed and poorly developed, the latter isn't very memorable. In fact I don't really remember it at all.

Dont forget Increrdible Hulk. That movie is borderline unwatchable.

Black Panther is also a real mixed bag for me, and I have watched it 4-5 times at this point. There are a lot of great elements, like the acting, music, and costume design. But the story was a bit too well-trodden for me and predictable. The fight scenes are not particularly well shot, with no real sense of weight, momentum, or impact to any of the blows (Okoye barely poking and tapping dudes with her staff in the casino sticks out to me every time) and in general the CGI is definitely not up to par with a lot of other MCU films. The finale devolving into a big dumb CGI battle was a big letdown, and those CGI rhinos give me real Attack of the Clones vibes every time I watch it. The other random thing that always bothers me is Martin Freemans acting during the entire part where he is flying the ship at the end. He definitely doesnt seem too comfortable with acting against a green screen in those bits.

It is still a really fun movie overall though, and I think it will probably be remembered as more of an iconic film than most of the MCU stuff just based on the impact it had when it came out.

I've seen it...once? Twice? There are several elements of it that I actually enjoyed, for whatever reason I don't think it's great but I don't hate it either.

Agreed on the fight scenes in general, but never noticed that in the casino. Was maybe too caught up in the atmosphere.

Yeah, the MCU's Achilles' Heel is the BDCGIB. Given their output they can't all be gems. I agree that mixed bag or not, BP has a legacy that will outlast other entries.

If i was betting man, id wager a hefty sum that John david washington will be cast as the new panther.

Not only is he also a talented actor his father actually donated money to sponsor a student through acting school, that student happened to be Chadwick Boseman

I was thinking the same thing last night. Don't see anyone else at their age and exposure, which Washington is getting now with Tenet.

Yup JAWS I gave it a few rewatches actually and while I certainly don?t think the movie is trash or anything close to that it just leaves me feeling indifferent.

Horrible action with shoddy cgi especially for a character like that and a civil war within Wakanda that made no sense and came out of left field literally lol.

I do think BP tried giving Killmonger an honorable death I liked that.

Make no mistake about it the actual movie was a tremendous success i?m glad he got to experience and live thru something like that.

BUT i?m not here to debate the movie just to celebrate and respect a very talented individual who also seemed to be humble, kind and gentle.

I do t think spicy food is the cause but food can make you get cancer. It may be genetic. All I know is that it?s heartbreaking. This really hit me like a train.

IMO it's not spicey food; stuff like peppers and the onion family are natural anti-bacterial.

IMO it's all the processed *&^% we eat, as well as low levels of chemicals in the environment. We're at the top of the food chain and what the EPA thinks of as "acceptable levels" may just be building up. Not a vegan or anything but ditched artificial sweeteners (diet anything) and processed *&^% a while ago. Geez u can't even eat too much tuna fish now.

Not a chore to grab a baguette, slap on some olive oil and fixings, and have a great meal.

And yeah, my mother and a brother have CLL (chronic lymphocytic leukemia). My mother is getting her first treatment today (medication). So I feel for the family. IMO Marvel should let a decent interval pass before they even discuss any further work with BP publicly. And why not, filming schedules are a mess now anyway. Do the right thing.

Boseman had such presence. That last scene CW of Zemo and BP is so haunting. Rest in Peace, King.
