Same boat as you. I much prefer that short blaster rifle than the sniper rifle, but opted for the deluxe for the base + stormtrooper toy.

That looks awesome! I really regret skipping on the HT Shadow Trooper, I already had the Sideshow version and convinced myself I didn't need to upgrade.

I have mine without the pauldron (looks a bit clunky), but with the harness (looks loaded).
It's an amazing design, a bit busy, but as far as troops go, it's OT level of awesome.

Took the pauldron off of mine too but kept the grenade holder. My blaster holster came apart so I gotta glue it back. Looove this figure tho. I really want the mms398 to go with it
